How to clean a roman blind. In this video we teach you how to clean a roman blind or how to clean fabric blinds at home using simple products you should already own. You will learn two methods for roman blind cleaning in this tutorial, a dry cleaning method, and a low moisture wet cleaning method. To clean your fabric blinds you will need cotton towels, rubbing alcohol, dish soap, a bucket, and a vacuum cleaner.

Thank god I found your video I was going to put my Roman blinds in the bath, so I left them up did a wet wash patch test, the problem is now I can see how dirty they really are ( had a smoker in the room) but the good news it definitely works thank you thank you 😊

Thank you for your straight forward no fuss instructions. I now feel confident to tackle my Roman blinds. Do you have any advice for cleaning the pull cords they look grubby and horrible Cheers

Dunk them in a cup or bowl of the cleaning solution and then run them through a towel :)

Thank you :-) PU is quite easy to do. Warm soapy water and a microfiber towel should work!

Is rubbing alcohol the same as surgical spirits? Will it not make the blind very flammable, unless well washed out? I've greasy/ dusty kitchen blinds I'm keen to try this on.

It’s the same thing yup! It evaporates as it’s a solvent so no, except in the immediate term it won’t be flammable.

Would you have any advice for removing mildrew marks from a fabric roman blind. Tried rubbing with IPA but not much impact. Its powdery orange. Thanks

It’s most likely damaged but you could try some peroxide; but test first it could bleach them!
