Also I have seen that if you keep the pc/laptop cool initially before any task(say using coolpad or somehow with external source not laptop/pc cooling) then it barely risen up to more heat.. Even I sometimes forget to precool it and face the overheating than expected. Just an opinion.. try it out

@@sakshamgupta8059 oh yeaa most def. I keep a small fan blowing on it and a lot of people make the mistake of having it flat on a surface where it can’t “breathe” and causes the fans to overwork.. I have a monitor riser thingy with holes in the bottom… I’m about to hit up Amazon and look for a cooling pad riser with fans. But I mean gaming laptops are gonna get hot, it’s normal. Since then my Laptop gets very hot. I will buy some paste and apply it. Do you think my Laptop took irreversible damage from not getting new paste on immediatly?
@tryitstd

No, if CPU overheats then your system will automatically turn off. I think you were doing normal task, that is why you were able to use the laptop without thermal paste. If you put load on the CPU then your system will thermal throttle and then turn off automatically.

@tryitstd

You don't have to format your HDD. Inside windows open intel optane software and disable your optane memory first (watch the video carefully I have shown it). Once you disable it, only then you can remove it from motherboard. Otherwise your windows won't boot. Now install m.2 nvme SSD in optane slot and then migrate your OS from HDD to SSD. The black plastic acts as thermal insulator, you should use it, else the morther board will absorb heat from the heatsinks. You can buy new thermal tape if required.

Which size screwdriver do we need for the fan module screws?
@tryitstd

PH #00 diameter 1.8 mm, but for laptop opening and cleaning you should buy a complete set instead of a specific size screw. All screws are not of same size and shape.

@@arjunss1545 You should have disconnect the battery first. If the spark doesn't damage any chip then removing the CMOS battery may help. After removing the CMOS battery wait for a minute and then connect it again. Then try to turn on the pc. If the PC does not start then you should contact service centre.

@tryitstd
@tryitstd 3 жыл бұрын
I think thermal paste got misplaced. Open the heatsink again and then reapply thermal paste. After applying thermal grease place the heatsink gently and try to align it perfectly while placing it. Do not wiggle it for aligning with the screw holes or pull it back to check. Also if your thermal pads (soft foam tapes on the heatsink) get dirty while cleaning you should change them too.

Why, they are easy to unscrew. Use star head screw of size PH#00. And don't buy a single screw, it is always better to get a laptop/mobile opening kit. Because all the screws are not of similar size.
