Thank you so much Taylor ❤ I have been on a PEG for a month or so. I’ve MD and swallowing issues/hard time maintaining weight, my surgeon did great putting the placement in but the aftercare of teaching and answering my questions has been a complete crap show!! He’s so hard to get ahold of but you’ve really helped me. I knew a lot of this but I was always concerned that food particles always floated back up after flushing and was starting to get concerned. However, you’ve given me peace of mind now and I appreciate this resource so much.

I also just use sterile saline water for cleaning does same as non scented soap 😅

Hello - thank you for this video. I'm having a Peg tube placed on Monday and your instructions helped answer many questions I had and also did not know i had. We really appreciate you sharing this helpful information! It is presented very simply and clearly, and eases my fears that I will be able to care for it successfully!

I wish there were a way I could get some kind of assistance because my G-Tube stoma, although looks clear and healthy is very irritant 4 or 5 hours into feed. I cannot understand this issue. Condition I have from birth is eztremely rare, "OTOFACIAL Syndrome"

My wife hasn't really needed to use her g-tube in a few months for feeding and now we've noticed what appears to be mold about 7-8 inched down from the port opening. We've tried numerous pipe cleaners to clean it out and nothing is working. Any suggestions?

What can used for clean PEG when it show black color (fungal)

We haven't mastered this completely but they sell feeding tube cleaners (brushes) SHOULD be used with a deft hand.

Use a brand new toothbrush. Keep the tube pinched with your left hand if you don't have a clasp then clean with a toothbrush and rinse with warm water.
