Fabric convertible tops are constantly exposed to UV sunlight, wind, water, dirt, filth, and grime. Without proper care, convertible soft tops fade, discolor, stain, and degrade from exposure to the elements.
The Chemical Guys Convertible Top Care Kit is a two-part system: Clean, then Protect.

First, clean off any filth and grime with Convertible Top Cleaner and the Convertible Top Horsehair Brush. Agitate any filth from the fabric, then wipe off any residue with the Tan Workhorse Microfiber Towel.
Next, mist an even coat of Convertible Top Protectant over all the fabric soft top. Let the protectant absorb into the fabric and cure for 20 minutes. Apply a second coat over the fabric and let cure overnight until dry to the touch. Convertible Top Protectant helps repel water, dirt, filth, and harsh UV sunlight that cause fading, staining, and degradation.
Fabric soft tops typically last up to 3 years before they need to be replaced. Protecting and maintaining the fabric from day 1 can help any fabric soft top last longer and look better the whole time.

Are you sure you don't need to rinse the cleaner off before using the protectant? It defies common sense not to rinse. Also it says to rinse off right on the directions on the bottle. I noticed that when you poured straight water on the top it sudsed up.

LOL if an owner have to replace the top every 2 to 3 years, there's no point to spend money, time and effort to protect the top. Might as well save all those money for the replacement.

bad spray nozzle. See they are leaking and you can´t get the product spread even.

Hey Matt! Yes, either wipe off or let the surface thoroughly dry before adding the protectant.

Hey Arlene! Convertible Top Protectant should be reapplied once every three months to maintain water beading properties.
