I used “coke”, as you recommended, and ended up cleaning every chrome wheel in my neighborhood.

For those that are complaining it is also recommended by most detailers to use 0000, so if you messed up your rims you did something wrong. Anyhoo...Good video, you saved me a ton of money. Thanks!!

looks good I use steel wool on my chrome exhaust tips works wonders if u don't mind some minor scratches then polish them

I use a microfiber towel and spray on rubbing alcohol and my rims shine bright like a diamond.

This worked. My wheels are so shiny now. too bad they are pitting though

Before I clean my renen rims tomorrow, I have rims just like yours where it has the little screws all around the rim, its called a pitted rim I think, its the little screws that are starting to rust, what should be sued to clean them, coke too? ty very much actually impossible to find an answer for this specific type of rim.

So thats basically salt corrosion on the rims cause I'm from jersey and I didn't take mines off in the winter an the salt damage them with spots so ima try that with the coke and steel wool do u have a pic after the final finish of them

I forgot to say to use it very gently not to hard and not to soft . only medium pressure. but it's weird becuase when I used 0000 nothing happen . them I went to home depot and get only 00 because I need it something stronger cause mines were very bad and the didn't get scratch at all knowing that 00 is stronger then 0000. I will only recommend 00 or only 0 to be use on very bad looking chrome but don't put pressure on your hand only do it like you are rubbing it very gently.

NEVER use WOOL PADS...you have to use low grade foil(cheap foil).Crumble it up(the foil)and gently wipe as you spray coke and watch how them rims shhhiinnnee..u welcome😉😎

My dad left his rims get pitted,brake dust with bubbles lifting underneath (6yrs). I decided to clean them with a bit of acid. I Didn't left it on for long, I scrubbed and washed it out fast but It turned copper. May I have cause the damage?

I will never use steel wool on my 20's, microfiber can scratch chrome if you scrub to hard.. you crazy as hell.
