Easy?! All that THEN one by one?

Damn if I did that to my blinds they’d fall apart!

I like to take mine down and throw them in the bath tub with hot water and a dish washer tablet. It’s the only thing I’ve found that doesn’t leave water marks or left over greasy/dust

When I was growing up, my mother would take them down, drape the top over the clothes line, throw a bucket of soapy water on them 1 or 2 each side, hose them off on both sides, leave them out on the line to dry, then bring them back inside hang them up and run a clean dust cloth across them

U dusting the blinds have me an allergy attack already. Hell for dust allergy sufferers

when i get my own house im not gonna have any blinds or glass shower doors because i hate cleaning them. stainless steel too lol

The easiest way I cleaned mine was swapping them out for machine washable curtains. 👍🏻

Man these blinds stress me out so much and there are so many of them. I'm going to go get these products. I usually use a swiffer as well but just mild soap and water.

Throw in a tub with dawn dishsoap. Done!!!

Always wear gloves. I was doing this with some blinds at an apartment and I got cut up pretty good. The blinds were razor sharp on the edges.

My tip to cleaning blinds is to take them dust traps down from your windows & hang nice curtains instead. That way when you they need to be cleaned you can just put them in the washing machine. Buy extras in different colors & patterns when they're on sale, so you can change the look of your rooms & you can rehang a different set after you take down one to wash to avoid having to wait the 30 mins in the washer & depending on the curtain 20 mins in the dryer. It makes life easier for me & gives my house different looks.

Id rather just have shutters or shades, too much work. I'm too lazy 😂

You can use non toxic ingredients such as a water vinegar mix. Rubbing alcohol works great too.

remove blinds from windows. place in tub full of hot water and dawn dish soap. let soak 30-60 minutes. flip.change water.repeat.

There are two kinds ones that are plastic and ones like these that are wood then shows swiffering the metal ones which apparently don't exist in apparently the honeycomb ones don't either

Looks effective but I'm guessing this is only a good idea if you know the person has good quality blinds. Lol looked kind of rough to be doing when you can surely break the blinds with all that aggressive cleaning you were doing.

I remove mine and take them outside and spray them down with a hose. Fast and easy

There is actually a gadget to clean blinds that looks like how a Swiffer would look if you were to cut several horizontal strips into it spaced apart, replace the "feathers" with microfiber, and shorten the handle. You can spray cleaner on it or use it dry. My great aunt had one years ago, and I'm pretty sure she got it from one of those magazines that all of our grannies get in the mail and love to order a bunch of stuff from lol. Harriet Carter is the name of the one of those magazines but I forgot the name of the other ones she used to get. I'm sure you could find the gadget on Amazon but if not check the granny magazine's online stores. Don't sleep on those granny magazines though, because sometimes they have some cool stuff!

Yeah that seems like a great system of cleaning blinds but for my blinds are really cheap so I think we dusting them off would break them.

Omg this was awesome. I was in the dilemma of cleaning my blinds. I was going to take them down and soak them in my tub and scrub with a sponge. This is much easier.

i SWEAR by awesome! i have at least 5-6 bottles & an opened one in my cleaning closet at this very moment! its the one major thing i use to clean except for bleach & disinfectant! i love this idea, i never thought to use my duster/swiffer! i just found a hack to clean my walls instead of using a magic eraser/microfiber towel: I buy 2 different swiffers (one for my floors) & the other for my walls. i use bleach water & my swiffer to clean my walls! its sooo much quicker/easier & gets hard to reach areas instead of me standing on a step ladder or chair!!

Ngl I have been cleaning my blinds this way since my great grandmother taught me as a child. May she RIP. ❤️🙏 I thought everybody cleaned their blinds this way.

Hang blinds in shower or outside. Spray both sides with Scrubbing Bubbles foaming shower wash. Let it sit as you clean your windows.....be sure to spray them with super hot water from shower sprayer or just cold water from hose prior to the Scrubbing Bubbles. After you clean the windows....rinse the blinds with water from the hose or hot water from your shower spray head. CLEANS BLINDS LIKE CRAZY....and if you let them hang outside to dry ... No water spots!

"Awesome carpet cleaner" red bottle from dollar tree is the only thing that works for my blinds in the kitchen. It's right by the stove which picks up grease so quickly even though I rarely use oil. Works like a dream.

Hell ya! I USED TO take them off and hang them all on the clothes line then can use products brushes and the hose to clean and rinse and dry them all in one spot with no fear of walls, windows and carpet or floors getting damaged. I live on 3rd story of a walk up now. No hose. No back yard clothes line etc. This is an AWESOME way to do this indoors. 👍👍👍✌🤗

If the blinds can be removed from the window area then take the blinds down hang them on the clothes line . Get a bucket of hot soapy water and a soft brush do one side with soap and water then do the other side . Then take a hose and rinse off both side let the blinds drip dry them hang them up

Fill bathtub with hot soapy water. Put blinds in water being careful not to tangle cords. Use a soft brush clean the blinds after soaking for an hour. Let out soapy water. Rinse with clear water. Fill tub again.. put 1 cup white vinegar and swish blinds. Once it is clean lay it on a sheet opened fully to protect floor. Let sit til dry. BEST WAY...BUY NEW BLINDS.

I used Simple Green it works just as good and it also smells great

there are actually 3 types of blinds: plastic, wood & metal! if they are color blinds you need to make sure whatever you use doesn't change the color of the cords or strings! plus the chemicals may cause the metal ones to peel.

Nope! The cheap ones go into the trash...the wood ones go into the tub. The string will not not come clean unless the are completely rinse out with water. You dust weekly and wipe softly...
