The same reason you should remove your shoes when you enter your house. You teach your dog to "spin" using a target stick. I've got a mud buster, but I found out that it was quite messy. Water everywhere! I groom my own dog. I check her nails, trim the hair on her each paw checking out any thing that maybe imbedded there, and apply a pad balm.

I didn't think of all that my pup could get on his paws until you mentioned the study for what gets on our shoes and sidewalks! Yuck! I have a boxer/pit mix rescue, so he's very "handsy", "pawsy?" ;). Since he uses his front paws like hands, reaching out to hug, "hold" our hands, on our clothes, etc...I'm certainly making a big change to our paw cleaning routine! I hadn't heard of a Mud Buster before. I've always used pup wipes, but now will get a Mud Buster. Thank you so much!

I use the mud buster. Not the best for the really muddy mess. My opinion only.

Do you change the water in the mud buster between dogs? It almost feels like you need one mudbuster per paw.
