I buy clear glass pots and pans at yard sales, estate sales, thrift stores, etc; the kind that someone else paid a lot of money for. They usually have a thick brown hard residue. I spray them outdoors with Easy Off, hose spray them down the next day & bring them in for their final washing. Turn out beautiful each time.

I learnt this on my own years ago. I got tired of seeing the bottom of my pans look so yucky, like they were dirty and got to thinking; if oven cleaner will clean that burnt on stuff then it should clean my pans, and wallah... it did the trick. So glad you have these videos to show others. But, you have taught me other tricks that I did not know Thanks.

Hi Andrea Jean, first, thanks so much for your great cleaning tips. Just wanted to say two things; We no longer use any type of nonstick pans, pots, sheet pans, etc., since there are none that are safe for cooking, despite their claims - we disposed of ours years ago and cook only with stainless steel or cast iron. Also, a word of caution for those using stainless steel, Easy Off will ruin stainless steel, as I learned the hard way. Especially the yellow can and sometimes the blue can. Again, thanks for your tip ☺

FYI As of 200?, standards for non stick coating requirements has changed. None of the non stick cookware made now is toxic unless your cooking above 650 degrees.. You can check this information online.

@@dale3404 I don't know about that but is the oxalic acid you mention safe to use on all the same surfaces as BF? The best cleaner for this job is baking soda and it's very cheap. I spray the surface with water and then sprinkle on top baking soda so it forms a thick paste. Let it sit for about 15 minutes and then just wipe off. It works like magic. I've used it on stove top surfaces with baked in grease, on grill racks, etc. It is like a miracle. No scrubbing, but if there is a lot of gunk to clean, you may need to do it more than once. There are some KZfaq videos out there with demos on how this works.

I put my racks, pans, cookie sheets etc in big black trash bags & tie them tightly closed after spraying a bunch of Easy Off inside. (Protect areas that the cleaner says to avoid using on with plastic wrap wrapped around like knobs etc.). Then I set it outside while I do the oven or other housework. After, avoiding lawn & other landscaping, I just rinse the grossness away with the hose! Easy!

Easy Off has been around for many years. For the oven, you have to warm it up first then spray and leave it for a few hours or better yet, over night for a very dirty oven. On pans, DO NOT USE ON ALUMINUM PANS AS IT WILL TURN THEM ALMOST BLACK INSIDE OR OUTSIDE, and you will not be able to undo the damage to you cookware. Porcelain pots or pans clean beautifully with easy off as well. Better that you always clean the bottom of your pots everytime you use them just to keep this problem under control. EASY off can also ruin the surface of your pot as this is an acid, that's how it desolves all the brown stuck on stuff you see here. This works the best on STAINLESS STEEL POTS AND PANS. Warm up your pot or oven BEFORE YOU SPARY because that will speed up the process. Try this on a piece of aluminum foil before you spray it on an aluminum pan... YOU will see what will happen when sprayed on aluminum. Get a few bottles while they may still be found as it has many othe uses. Keep safe everyone and keep🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏.

I find that Bar Keepers Friend works wonders and does not have the smell. Wet pot then sprinkle on pot. Let sit a few minutes and wipe. Looks new.

I use easy off pretty frequently and I typically warm my pans and oven first then spray the easy off onto the surface and it wipes away easier and uses less elbow grease.

If it is bad, spray the pots and slip them into a plastic bag overnight. Next morning it will come off easily.

I just found your channel and it has inspired me to tackle a few projects…well, more than a few! I moved into my home a few months ago and there is one area that I don’t know how to clean…the vent area on the underside of my built-in microwave, above my stove. Would this work on that? It’s hard to clean the area with spray cleaner as the liquid then drips onto the stove and doesn’t soak in. I’m wonder if this will work as it is of a thicker consistency and can soak into the grease easier?

Thanks for the tip. It worked great! Now if I may provide one to you... those cans don't need to be shaken. The reason it wasn't spraying out some of the time was because of the angle you were spraying at. The can needs to stay more upright. I know that's harder to do when spraying something in the sink. But what will happen is you'll end up spraying out all the pressure from the can and won't be able to use all the product in the end.
