Thanks for showing clearly how to take out the paper pickup rubber roller. After cleaning it with just a piece of wet cloth, it worked like new again!

Thanks. My roller didn't come out, but I wiped down all surfaces I could reach and it definitely helped. Tip: check with a flashlight. I thought I had wiped the roller well, but went back with better light and saw more to be cleaned.

The particular laser printer in this video is known for its frequent jams. There is a blue module on the rear/bottom that can be easily removed and installed for cleaning. Many times, rollers and guides that need cleaning are indicated by a contrasting color; blue in this laser printer's case. Look for additional same-colored rollers and guides to service them as well. Support the Right to Repair movement!

There's no such thing as "easy removal of the paper tray" even by rotating the printer. Mine was well locked in despite a nice diagram from the company showing how easy it was if you put it on its side. It wasn't on the 305 ink jet! I couldn't reach the rollers at all. However despite you saying not to use anything but water, I did try alcohol and after half a bottle of hooch I was happy as Larry with the result in that I didn't care one way or the other, and I am now contemplating hurling through the bloody window!

That's no good, I need to clean the big green roller, something spilled on to it and I use my printer a lot.

Flipping an ink jet printer is not a good idea. The ink will leak.

Waste of time if you have sandpaper! Sandpaper negates the use of water by roughing the roller for better pickup. Sandpaper is a MUCH better temporary fix unless rollers are super gunky, in which case, you have a bigger problem than a pickup roller lol. MAYBE in a certain factory environment, this would be a better option, but not from my experience.
