In this video we go through how you take care of your discs so they will fly as good as possible. This happens in 3 steps in this case. Cleaning, repairing and most importantly (?) how you store your discs. Without proper care they can get warped (we show how you can fix that) or the dome can get sad (We show you how to fix that as well) 😀.
The steps:
Clean
1. Wipe of excess mud
2. Put the discs in warm water with some dish soap
3. Scrub with a sponge or cloth (be a little bit careful of the stamp if you scrub furiously)
4. Dry the discs
Repair
1. Fix the rim and small imperfections with sandpaper
2. Fix bigger chips either by clipping them with a nail clipper or
3. Melt the plastic with a lighter (be careful and ask your parents first!)
4. Fix the dome by putting the disc in warm water then put the disc upside down on a flat surface and let it cool down
5. Fix a warped disc by putting the disc in warm water and then put the disc on a flat surface with some weight on top (that pushes on the rim and not the dome). A stack of disc as weights is a good idea.
Store
1. In the bag (or a shelf etc.). Don´t have too many discs at once stored in the bag. That can lead to the disc being deformed.
2. Stacked on a surface. Keep the stack straight without any disc sticking out on the side. That might lead to the disc being warped.
