Have to say that I'm really enjoying this series. I fell into owning this exact pinball machine just two weeks ago. Nothing was working, and I wasn't sure how I was going to fix it (but was confident I'd find the resources). Thanks to your videos, I have started to check solenoids, and switches. Found some things that are stuck, and will need cleaning and lubing. Have to ask a question: What do you use to clean up the point reels? They go from dirty to pristine white. Is it just soap and water? I have some really dirty reels in some places. Back to binge watching your tear down and repairs . . . waiting on a few bits and pieces before I start to tear down my own machine.

I use Mean Green to clean them. Now just incase try it on one of the score reels first. Put a little on a rag and wipe a little on one of the numbers, just to make sure it doesn't take the black number off. It doesn't take the number use a toothbrush and clean quickly not stay in one area to long. Mean Green will remove paint.

The contact cleaning I am using is one I buy at the auction. I buy it by the case.

@@RetroGamingWithHopper I'm working on a 477 Rock-Ola Jukebox for a customer. I haven't worked on one of these for 20 years or better. My Dad was in the amusement business for 38 years here in Minnesota, we had about 650 machines on location. I'm a truck driver now but I'm in between jobs right now. I run into people all the time, that once they learn that I worked on Jukebox's or Pinballs machines, they talk me into fixing their machines. But I still enjoy it. Of course most of the machines we had, were newer ones at the time. So the problem I have with this machine is with the gripper arm. Like the one you were working on. I can't believe I found myself on you tube looking for help. But here I am.
