Will the bleach eventually rust the metal part of the feeder?

yes it will, you should get a specially made cleaning solution made for bird feeders. would recommend those as they clean them 100% and wont make your feeders rust.

We do not use bleach for a variety of reasons. Will something like OxyClean suffice? Or will the anti-bacterial soap be sufficient?

Quat Sanitizer is as good as, or better than bleach.
