I bought the nastiest FineWoven Case I can find on eBay. Let me show you how easy it is to clean it.

Apple's recommendation:
- To clean your FineWoven iPhone case or reduce the appearance of scratches, first remove your iPhone from the case.
- In a clean container, mix 1 tsp. (5 mL) of liquid laundry detergent into 1 cup (250 mL) of water.
- Dip a lint-free cloth into the soapy water solution, wring it out slightly, and rub the cloth on the case surfaces gently for 1 minute.
- Wipe the case clean with a separate cloth that's slightly dampened with fresh water.
- Dry the case with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth, making sure to remove any excess moisture.
- The material may look different and show wear over time as the fibers get compressed with normal use. Some scratches may diminish over time.

Gorgeous video!!! Same experience on my side. I work and live in a tropical underdeveloped country. I’m using my taupe case even on construction sites. I just clean it from time to time and it always looks like new. And I really like how it feels in hand, better than the leather cases I tried before.

I love my fine woven case. I’ve had it since release, and it still looks brand new. I clean it with a little laundry detergent from time to time. I hated the patina on leather. People who don’t take the time to clean their fine woven case, will of course not like it. It’s a fabric like material. Just clean it, and you’ll love it.

I love the fine woven case ,they are sleek they are easy to clean they look really good also mine doesn’t scratch and leave marks as shown in multiple videos .They feel great to hold as well

I was almost going caseless. I hate the silicone cases because after a few weeks they begin to glue to any fabric, and the clear case collects way too much dust underneath and scratches extremely easily. I didn't know whether I should go with finewoven because I read so many bad reviews, but now after watching your video and seeing how easy it is to clean it I decided to buy it anyways. Thanks, I'll update you in some time about my experience :-)

@@iPhonedo Believe me, everyone will be very happy if you do finish it. I have actually held off on upgrading, waiting on your opinion. Particularly on its usage as a ‘pro’ video camera using an external drive and Log. Is it worth it as an upgrade to the standard 15 (which is otherwise a great phone with a very acceptable camera)? Or should you just save the money for a larger format camera?

Great video. I’m glad to see someone starting to call BS on all the “gates” at every Apple product release. I don’t know which is worse, the desperate obsessions of Apple haters or the lazy tech channels trolling for content and clicks. I think the general public must ignore the “gates” that seem so devastating watching tech media. Apple has the number one gaming platform, watch, smartphone, headphones and laptop after all.

The only downside is that it gets easily dirty with white smudges. But still I love the feel of this case on my hands. It feels comfortable.

Does that mean all who complains about this case are just lazy to clean it? LOL This is much better than cases like it doesn’t look dirty but in reality it’s really more dirty since you don’t clean it like this one.

I've used the fine woven case on my 15PM since launch, and I've been happy with it. The price is too high for what you get, but I wash mine and the wallet weekly. They have held up rather well. There is a noticeable circle even after cleaning from the magsafe charger that the phone sits on through the night though. Would I recommend the case? No, not at all. If the price is $20, sure!

got one from beverly center apple and after a month it started rip off from charging frame kinda. so they changed it to new one. after 2 weeks it started rip off and kinda ugly again.

Also the case, ha ha, with Apple's Apple Watch bands. Just lightly clean them, with a tiny bit of soap and warm water, and they're fine.

The worst thing with these cases for me is they’re scratching easily. Can you remove scratches?

Yes, they either fade or completely go away. The Taupe case had a scratch on it when I unboxed it, after I cleaned it, it was gone. I can barely see it now.

I still think this greenwashing movement by Apple is just greed over having a much better margin gain product. I can´t see how it's better for the planet a shitty case you have to treat more careful than your phone, instead of a leather case that can hold by itself for years of use with much less wear and dirt.

Apple stopped producing leather cases to be beneficial to nature, but at that time people spent a lot of water and chemicals to keep these new cases clean and electricity to dry them back. Well done Apple.

I didn't wash my case once. This video shows that even if your case is dirty, you don't need to be wasteful and buy another case You can clean it in one minute. Yet you're still not happy huh? It seems like you tried an angle to find something to complain about. Why?

The best way to clean a fine woven case is to discard it immediately and purchase a leather case from a brand who isn't concerned about the weather maybe being a little sad a hundred years from now.
