No way man. Those harsh cleaning liquids will destroy those pads and soft surfaces over time.

@@markjoyce3172 I have a couch made of the same leathery surface material you find on a lot of headphones, and I just cleaned with spic-&-span without thinking. After some time, it began cracking and flaking only in the areas that were continually cleaned. It shed little flakes everywhere. Now I always used a damp rag instead.

Doesn’t alcohol damage leather and some synthetic leathers?

It can through prolonged exposure! However, a wipedown shouldn't do too much damage, especially if you don't overdo it. If you are worried about damaging your earpads, taking an extra pass with a dry cloth should mop off any excess that didn't evaporate

How do you dust your Headphones? I was told that it could stop your headphones from working by HiFiman. How do you do that without damaging the headphones? I'm really confused.

I use a small towel to clean my over ear headphones pads after every listering session, gest a dry run to clean any sweat and / or particles, hairs.I use a pair of sony's M2 since it came out and it looks like new to this day. So good advice, keep it clean :)

This is bad advice, you should not use fingers or tweezers when near your driver....only an air can.

iamcorneliu Definitely the LG phones. Check out the LG V60. LG has been putting in their Hifi Quad DAC in their phones for quite a while now, since the V10. I have the G7 and it powers everything I have, except my 600 ohm AKG K240 Sextett. I haven’t actually tried the Sextett on my phone, but I typically leave that work to my O2 headphone amplifier.
