There is no one solution for cleaning all jewelry. Rose gold jewelry is made with a little bit of copper to create the pink color. As copper is a metal that naturally tarnishes over time, pink gold needs to be cleaned differently than your other silver, gold, or platinum jewelry. With over 36 years of experience in the jewelry industry, Atlanta Diamond Design has the expertise to help you clean your jewelry without damaging your gemstones. Stones that should not be exposed to heat or vibration of ultrasonic:
emerald, tanzanite, amethyst, opal, fracture-filled stones (includes many rubies), moonstone, labradorite, pearl, amber, coral, agate, turquoise, quartz, cameo, melee or pave (under 10 points) diamonds, invisible-set diamonds.
Stones that should not be exposed to harsh chemicals of jewelry cleaner or vinegar-salt solution:
emerald, opal, pearl, coral, amber, moonstone, labradorite, turquoise, agate, cameo.
Also avoid polishing these stones with a jewelry polishing cloth. You can use a jewelry polishing cloth on the metal elements of your jewelry, but clean these gemstones with a clean, soft, microfiber cloth like those used to clean eyeglasses.
