The Zone Mortalis Railings, Ladders and Elevators are a great bit of kit but some clip, some don't. The State of Play takes an in depth look at the Zone Mortalis Railings, Ladders and Elevators for Necromunda terrain and other games (Stargrave, Space Hulk, Warhammer 40k, Kill Team) and helps you easily mod them to make them attach on their own or clip onto the Zone Mortalis Platforms.
We take a look at the pros and cons, create some other Zone Mortalis options that aren't in the instructions and work out how to make these attach and stay attached.

This is great. I've found ladders to be the most frustrating part of the kit. Really good solution with clip on.

Fantastic video series! You solved a lot of problems in these videos that ultimately just drove me towards glued down tiles. Just as an FYI, the elevators are designed to lock in place via the teeth in the floor on the zone mortalis tiles vs into the column directly. Blu tack gets the job done though.

Thanks! Ok, I totally did not know that about the elevators. I probably should have played with the tiles a bit more before I returned them. Thanks for that info!

How about gluing a thin piece of plastic sheet to the bottom of the elevator. This piece would then slide under the column to hold it in place.

I found if you give the ladders some form of base at the bottom they stay stable enough well remaining modular, you can still knock it over but that’s gonna happen no matter what

Great tips! I am glad I did not build my zone mortalis pile before I saw this. I like your color scheme too and would really like to see a tutorial on how you painted your terrain.

Thanks Christopher. I’m planning a painting video in the future but am having to wait for the weather. Until this U.K. rain stops I can’t film or spray outside!

Great video I’m planning to magnetise my columns so the elevator can be fixed with a mag but the ladders you’ve saved me some ball ache there so Thankyou 😅

That a lot of work drilling mag holes. I got lazy and used Blu Tack! 🤣

@@thestateofplay2023 No work at all. the Collums have places for magnets and the elevator was easy work. i put some magnets in some collums and walls and so i can just scatter some details over the board
