This is the Part#2 : Epoxy granite packing into Frames of my CNC milling machine DIY. You can see the method of mixing Epoxy with gravel, sand and the process of packing into the frames.
This Epoxy granite gives enhanced characteristics in stiffness and noise, vibration & harshness of the CNC milling machine Frames.
One quick information for you is the weight of the frames before and after Epoxy granite packing below
- Weight of the frame before (excluding reinforcement plates, end plates and nut plates) : ~ 34 Kg
- After : ~90 Kg ( 260% up)
- Weight of Epoxy granite : 56Kg
* After total weight in the chart of video 97.6 Kg (it's typo) need to be corrected to 90 Kg^^

격려 코멘트 고맙습니다. 화학적 성분까지는 아니고요~ 기계적 강도, 진동특성을 높이기 위해 에폭시 화학 제재를 충진하는 것입니다.

Wrong mineral proportions. too many huge fractions

Suppose you mean too much gravel and sand ratio compared to epoxy?! I had altered it at that time and with the ratio I selected I remember reasonable "viscosity" for filling and expected it to give better damping performance (esp. for low frequency) with that epoxy granite not only for providing stiffness of the frames. Will recheck it in next building with your thanks opinion.

@@cncforall12 mineral casting is not simple for building metalworking machines. measurements show different value at lifetime, it change geometry if used wrong proportion and had no heating process
