Great video, young man. One the finest comic book series ever! I'm so old, I bought the issues off the self as they were coming out. Can you imagine waiting a month for each issue, lol? Up until a few years ago, it was the only way for me. I bought the series of 30th anniversary trades, much easier to read. Now, I listen to the audible series. I really enjoy that. Liked and subbed. 👍

@@TBATB I really like the audible adaptation. It has an excellent voice cast and is very well done. I liked the TV show but wasnt blown away by it.

My collection is of only 5 of the trade paperbacks is a mixed set of whatever I can find at my local comic book store. For some reason I originally picked up Vol 4, read it and really liked it. Then over the years, maybe once or twice per year, I'd pick up another volume so now I only have 5 of the 10 trades. I still haven't read the ones that I have even tho I like the story a lot.

So glad I found this video today. Love Sandman. I’ve got the three Omni’s but I’ve honestly wanted the Absolutes for some time now. I think I’ll eventually double dip on this because that artwork alone justifies the upgrade imo. Awesome video!

This is a super cool video. I didn’t know about the annotated edition of Sandman. I recently randomly chose to read Sandman. Unfortunately, the price along with collecting multiple volumes to read the complete story feels a bit overwhelming.

Great video, very useful! I am trying to decide between the Omnibus and Absolutes- do you have any thoughts on the relative quality of the binding in these? I have heard stories that the binding in the Absolutes is poorer quality than the Omnibus and I want something that lasts!

My honest opinion is I prefer the absolutes, or the deluxes, because they are easier to read with much less gutter loss, but the Omnis are still a lot of fun!

I never got into The Sandman. The art was always spectacular but as a kid, the story seemed hard to get into, so I unfortunately passed on it. I have the Netflix show on my queue. Do you recommend the show?

Hey man. I've got the deluxe edition books. I loved my first read through a year ago so I'm ready for a re-read as I've both Lucifer Omni's by Carey sat waiting to be read once I've done my re-read of sandman. I'm happy with the deluxe editions. Same size as an Omni and my shelves can't take absolutes 😂✌️

That's awesome! If I hadn’t gone the absolute route the deluxes would have been my way to go. Same size as an Omni but they lay flat and don’t have bad gutter bleed. I think if you only own one in absolute it should be Vol 5 or Overture!!

Yes!! The first 2 are the main series and the third covers all the side stories, and all of both death mini series and the prequel Sandman Overture (it’s a prequel but you should read it last)
