I got a 3x6 1 inch steel plate and drilled 5/8 holes every 2 inches on center with a mag drill. Saved me thousands.

The whole "JB weld through the bolt" is pretty ingenious! Cool idea.

I just ordered 2 Langmuir TABLE TOPS AND SET OF LEGS AND THE BOLT KIT INSTEAD OF THE TAB AND SLOT TABLE. Was the epoxy instillation a big mess? Looking forward to getting it. They say they are backordered 5 weeks. Hurry up and wait. Oh well. Do you have insight to help me?

How did you adjust the table surface and do you do a polishing of the table surface after laser cutting

What is the thickness of the Langmuir tables??
@alonsorobots Жыл бұрын
I'm having a hard time getting the BuildPro ball lock nuts to bite into the table. I think this is because the table is not very thick. Have you had to deal with this?
@melgross8 ай бұрын
I’m not sure why you didn’t just get their special bolting and epoxy package designed specifically to do this rather than screw around totally on your own.

Very cool find on these tables - and they look fantastic/super clean. Question: which of the home made clamps are you digging the most? The vice grip ones you modified or the F clamp style? Thanks for sharing the insights - super skillful welding.
@5thStreetFab3 жыл бұрын
I find myself using the vise grip kind way more but the f style are nice for larger parts

Just curious, I have been looking at those tables but when you start adding them up to get a large size you start getting into the Strong Hand Table price range. Do you see an advantage to these tables? I’m really on the fence....
@5thStreetFab3 жыл бұрын
I didnt look at strong hand but for a 3x6 certiflat thats 3/8" it was around 2500 bucks and i like that you dont weld them together. I think im all in on this around 1800 with the legs, tables, bolt kits and shipping

@@Rprecision not a fan of slots (Everything on my table falls through) buildpro is 500+ more and shipping is freight. These ship ups ground. And theyre cast iron! I can mig weld up to the table and no spatter sticks. I love it.

these are really nice tables but they are too expensive. Those 3 tables are easily 2500 unless they gave a deep discount for multiple sets.

I just checked I bought it when they had a sale and it was $2083 expensive but still cheaper than a 3/8" tab and slot table.
