In the beta now, the combos are harder to extend, there is a sort of end lag which gives the opponent enough space to breathe a little bit. I think the developpers did not wanted the players to 0 to death

Which is a good thing, because in alot of game, people just spam combo after you got hit once, but in multiversus you can still fight back if you got attacked

I think it was a bad idea to use clips from the alpha. The Beta (final release) feels very different. Some combos don't seem to work the same.

I definitely love the quality of work put into this video, however as someone who's pretty new at doing tech like attack and jump cancels, I was saddened when I didn't see the inputs for these kinds of maneuvers on the screen, especially for the Charged Attack Dash Cancel. Maybe I'm just missing something?

I spammed tornado a lot today with taz, first night playing and went on a 5 game winning spree (then I played league for a game or 2 before bed) I'm watching tutorials so I can stop spamming so he doesn't get nerfed lol. He's my favorite character so far. Also... anyone notice in the 99.99$ priced game that their giving 30 character tokens? 🤔... there's only like 14 characters rn (didn't count) but that means tons more are coming. LOVE THE GAME. Worth the 40 for preorder.

Yo dude that was sick. I realized I was playing a totally different game. Didn't realize the depth that was in the water in front of me. I was just having fun in the kiddie pool. If its possible I would've liked to see the entire combo notation all at once somewhere on the screen during the showcase. Just so I wouldn't have to slowmo to write it all down for practice. Idk what it is but some of this shit is impossible on PS4. Theres some weird shit going on with the buffering its inconsistent. Literally cannot dodge cancel Wonder Women Neutral consistently which is weird. Thought maybe my execution was failing me but I jumped on the PC version and did it no problem.

It’s not the easiest to explain but I’ll try. The charge cancel is probably the most uncomfortable to do of all the cancels described here. Make sure you have your dodge binded to a button or key that is familiar and feels natural. If it isn’t you only leave room for execution error. You want to be inputting the dodge as the charge is starting. Hold the charge too long and you’ll be forced to commit to the charge but do it too fast and you won’t get the benefits that come with the charge animation. The best way to practice the timing is to do the charge move but cancel it out with a neutral dodge instead. Avoid all the extra button presses so you can get an idea of how and when the charge reacts to the dodge. When you figure that out it makes doing it in motion much easier. Trying to juggle everything at once is counterproductive.

Down air normal, jumping cancel into down air, jump cancel into neutral air. All characters have Neutral/Side/Up/Down Normals and Neutral/Side/Up/Down Specials. These can all be done on the ground or in the air. Cancels are when you hit something to cancel out the end of an animation to allow you to combo into another move. You'll need a general fighting game glossary to get started.
