This was a very good tutorial, thank you. I have a few questions and observations. Why did you not match the reflection angle of the water blast to the reflection angle of the bridge? The sharp difference between them jumps off the screen when I view it. Am I wrong in thinking the reflection angle should be the same from the pov of the camera? Additionally is there a way to add impact ripples to the noise layer that originate and spread outwards from the impact point? Like the ripples in front of the actors as they churn thru the water. This shot seems like it is quite instructive as far as technique but incomplete as far as being a usable realistic asset. I find the assets your company provides a great value and return on the money it cost to purchase them, please keep up the good work!

Thank you for the feedback! To make an outward ripple you can mask the noise with a circular Roto shape and then animate the size of the mask to grow, or you can try transform the noise to a circle by adding SphericalTransform node just after the Noise, and then changing the Output Projection to "Mirror Ball" and the Rotation to "Look". Let us know if this helps!

Все это конечно хорошо, но только как не старайся работать в Nuke - все равно видно, что это попытка сделать что то похожее на реальность, но все равно не реально. А не реально потому, что при взрыве воды - от взрыва создавались бы волны и это было бы видно. А на этом видео видно, что вода никак не реагирует на взрыв. Эффект с использованием футажа - это простой и дешевый способ. Но я бы все таки создал симуляцию в Houdini и добавил бы ее для большей реальности эффекта. А вообще то на сайте, где вы берете футажи - должны сделать так же дополнительные варианты разбегающихся волн, что бы этот эффект смотрелся реалистично.
