I cut my lead into strips and pop in to copper tube then bend it so it don’t fall out. Not proud doing it ,just gotta get a bit back coz let’s face it scrap yards do you every time. The scales only weigh up to the nearest kilo, so if you got 10.9 kilos you only get paid for 10. Can you imagine how that builds up for them in free scrap with every load.

And then said yard gets a 200k load rejected when they copper mill finds the lead cause you wanna act like a crackhead. In the us the scales round to the nearest pound

We used to weigh in at EMR got rid of half a tone of slate's and opened six bags of sand in the van when I was brushing the van out after I brushed the sand out

Put a water tank in the back and go there when it's raining and slowly let it out easy to add weight

You know the game..a mate of mine had a water tank wielded under the body ..waited till it was pissing down then run is metal in..this was 40 years ago

Great vid guys. I’m not a big scrapper , mainly a hobby for me. And pays for kids shoes but I take pride in cleaning my metal. What annoys me is when the big boys rack up and start prepping/sorting on site.. but it’s their living I suppose. Awesome brass price btw!! Will be down next week with mine, hopefully still at that pruce

Brilliant video very eye-opening to the scams that go on I just can’t believe some of the tricks that people go to for a few quid stupid really because when you get caught you can never go back anyway that blue van that rich it looked like it needed weighing in anyway look forward to the next video keep it up lads

BATTERY RECYCLE You can extract the battery in a bath of oil that the safe way of scrapping YOU CAN THEN SEPARATE THE MATERIALS

Used old engine oil and water in petrol diesel tank is one have worked ELV for 8 months was seen quite a few times

We used to put stones in copper pipeing...and rocks in lead... And when bad weather have big water tank n let it leak out when tipping of metals terrible reali this wen u got cash

Years ago a run a 7.5 t dodge G75 with a Hiab on it I made k75k in two years we used to get £150 a ton for light iron back then

Another scam you should be aware of . Dripping solder into copper boilers it sticks to the copper, lead doesn’t . 👍🏼 great vid lads

Cheers! 😎 that's right, they can't actually be scrapped... The law states they must be disposed of properly due to the gas in them 🥴 Some 'tatters' will take them away for 💰💰 ... otherwise, try contacting your local council.

Why not use a one way system and use the raised bridge on the way out ? The one wheel trick can't be used then. Loving the channel boys keep up the great content.

How do you guys pay that much for scrap metal? I live in Malta and buy and sell scrap for a living, copper is €4.50 per kg, brass is €2.50 per kg, Cats are 40€ each no matter the size!
