After installing tomcat independently on Mac and then coming inside eclipse to configure, one can't find the Apache sever type or tomcat server type. IBM, Jboss etc are given there and you can not select the Apache, that you just installed outside eclipse.

@@mrinalraut7547 If it is a SpringBoot application then it is not required to configure explicitly. It is already embedded. It automatically configures.. thanks to spring-boot-starter-web dependency. 👍

Hi Durgesh, I have gone through your tomcat installation video present in servlet and JSP tutorial and one with eclipse. As the former one is exe file can't we configure same in eclipse as you have configured eclipse with zip file

Hi, I was able to do all the steps, only after creation of html/jsp page when I run the server, it gives the error "Page load failed with error: The resource could not be loaded because the App Transport Security policy requires the use of a secure connection." I have done the installation on MacBook (followed all steps as you have mentioned) ... please guide on what to be done to fix this

sirmh jaise he server eclipse pr start kr raha waha message aa raha hai ki already koi server chal raha pehle usko stop kro or yeh message aa raha hai - Port 8080 required by Tomcat v10.0 Server at localhost (2) is already in use. The server may already be running in another process, or a system process may be using the port. To start this server you will need to stop the other process or change the port number(s) please solve this problem

Note : if its already in running mode and getting an alert box stating that server in running Do below steps ; Goto start->run->service.msc and stop apache Tomcat change running mode to stop mode and restart your Eclipse and now Run your project again .
