My guess is that you could fold over one end onto the other of the light strip ends so the ends with the metal dots are connected. But you could always buy amazon led light strip connectors for less than 10 bucks.

That’s what I did to make mine work. It kinda sucks but it takes some messing with and tweaking. And if all else fails, these will help you out immensely. @@officiallyhagen9248 It's 12 volts with extremely low amperage so no as there is no heat buildup. Virtually no risk of a fire, even if you short it out it'll just blow the fuse or the adaptor.

Yes! So my thoughts are that it probably needs to be flipped upside down so the GRB lines up with the other strip. Once those are aligned it will work when connected! Also some led lights have a different sequence of RGB so make sure your light strips both are in the same order. Also if you can’t get it to work, I have a simple solution. I found these led light strip connectors on amazon a few weeks after I made the video and I tried them out and they work! They are a life saver. And I think I’m going to make a video about them soon. Oh I think that’s for like waterproof led light strips. And I haven’t had them myself but I’ve heard that you have to cut through the plastic / rubber covering to get to the copper. So use like a sharp utility knife and it should work.

That’s a really tough question. I think you have the best idea. I would probably roll it up in the original case it came in. But one thing to keep in mind is you may tear off some paint off your walls when removing them. Either way I think rolling them up is a great idea. Hey Dezmond! So if your light strips are both connected to the white box I don’t see why they would be failing. But if one strip is connected to the end of the first strip I can see why. If you used the strategy from the video it may be that your connection isn’t strong enough. Either that or the light strips are aligned upside down. Check that first. The r, g, b, and 12+ symbols should align for both the lights strips where they are connected. If that’s good then it’s the other issue. It has been happening to a lot of people as well. And it happened for my lights as well when I was first trying to connect them properly. And so what I did to fix the problem was I applied more pressure to the connection with using more tape / sticky material and the added pressure was enough to make the connection strong and both lights were the same color. So I would suggest trying that. And if that doesn’t work I have no further advice but to try out some led light connectors for a few bucks. They are a simpler way to connect lights. I didn’t find out about them until after I made this video but I tried them out recently and they work! So I recommend them to anyone who can’t get their lights to connect properly using the strategy from the video. This is where iam getting confused. I have two 65.5 rgb and a 25rgb roll. I wanna join all these toguether. I have some snap jumper connectors. What exacly do I need to safely amd easily joint all these rolls togueter. These guy told me I need a DC power block but they have different ones on amazon.

@@futbol1972 So you have 3 strips that you would like to join? First thing to confirm is that all of the 3 strips you are going to use have the same working voltage. Just look the adaptor output (usually 12 volt or 24 Volt). If there is one strips that has different voltage than the other, you cannot join them . If all of the strips has the same voltage then you can join them. But you have to choose DC adaptor that could output enough current for all the strips.

It's actually 3 led strips. Two 65.5ft ones plus a 25ft one. Which power supply should I buy and to link all the rgb strip ligjts toguether do I just cut and joint them all?

@@futbol1972 in this case make sure the strips are the same voltage example if one of the strip is a 12v and the other is a 10v connecting the two will damge the 10v over time plus it will look a bit uneven but if the two are the same voltage get anything between a 110v imput - 240

Me too I'm going crazy bruh I wasted 30 bucks on them and have only had them for a lil over a month but the end of the lights bent then messed up so I cut it thinking they would have the little wholes but no and I checked the other end and they didn't either 🙁

Yee if a strip isn’t connected to the power source or connected to a strip which is connected to the power source it won’t light up. But don’t worry there is always a solution. You may need to buy more extensions or brainstorm how to get them all connected to the power source.

Hey!! Sorry for the late response! So if you’re connecting one to the other you should be connecting a cut end to another end that looks the same from the end of the other light strip. Cuz if that’s the case I don’t see why they would have to be connected together. Unless they get power from a solar powered power box. In that case they would need connector pieces too or some way to get them connected, but I’m speaking from imagination lol. I haven’t put my hands on any solar led light strips before. Oh no. I was just trying to make use of them cuz they came with my lights. But you can use anything if fact you could maybe get it to work without using something in the back to prop it up. But I would recommend trying like folded paper or a piece of cardboard. Or anything small to get leverage. Hope it works out for you!
