I found a way to make it worn iPad Pro connected to my rodecaster pro, actually iPad Pro has an mixer build in iOS, you need to connect a usb c port to an iPad Pro and rodecaster pro and on the iPad Pro you go to the left upper corner and get to the section where the audio player is, and you should have an option to change the audio source,

I actually think the TRRS cable was more clear than even the USB-C iPad to be honest.

BTW, that lightning to usb c cable is only good for charging. You could of used the Apple “camera kit”

When you did the lightening to ipad you didn't have the tablet/phone sound turned up! Could that be it?

Hi Girl Talk No Chaser, thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. I really appreciate it. I tested it again, and it might be just with the older iPad or in my case the older iPad Pro 10.5inch. The lightning to USB-c didn't trigger the headphone/mic function. I was surprised too, during my original testing. That being said all the USB-C iPads work just fine.
