Yes this works well but i am using mi tv and in this media application is provided by xiaomi and then we can connect it but i can't tell about other tv's

I'm thinking the only way it works is if you activate developer mode & USB debugging when your in there then connect phone to TV with the charging cord should work ok after at least for the file transfer

TV must support MTP or PTP to transfer files from phone, otherwise you will get only tung tung sound and lagging on your phone and nothing else.

You can not send video data from a mobile unless it has a USB 3.0 upwards, 2.0 is audio data only

My TV does all that loading and then say nothing is connected. I'm convinced that these newer phones and tvs are limited. I remember just going to an app on my phone and casting to a TV now it's impossible unless it's something like KZfaq or hulu
