The choppiness that you hear when you press "Let's Check" button on Discord settings is due to your other settings like echo cancellation, noise suppression and krisp being on. Turning them off will make your artificial voice much clearer for the listener. Otherwise, thanks for this tutorial since I also needed to do this for... some purposes.

He currently has 2 tutorials for that, one for training on google colab, the other for local training, the colab one (I tried it, it works very well) is called "AI Voice Cloning with RVC in GOOGLE COLAB - Guide and Setup". Hope that helps :)

Hey all, the VB output/microphone isn't capturing my voice at all. I can verify that the VB was installed, as it shows up in both playback and recording, but it's not picking up my voice at all.

Make sure to set up VB audio as your primary recording device in Windows sound > Recording. It should work then. Discord introduced an update a while back that won't let you use any other mic other than your default one, due to people streaming music over their microphones, I think.

Guys I found the solution to solve the chunkiness of the voice! What I did is I went to Sound Control Panel went to Playback and went to the properties of CABLE input, Advanced, and change the sample rate format to "24 bit, 192000 Hz (Studio Quality)" Like this comment if it helped lol

Idk why but the problem fixed itself after trying it again the next day. Maybe restarting my pc fixed the issue. The only other things I did was changing my default input in sound settings to the VB Cable and starting the program before I start discord. Like, fully start it, with the voice changer on and waiting until it's "warmed up" and running before starting discord. After doing that I started discord and made sure the input and output were correct and listened to the preview and it worked

I don't know compatibility on dual 4090s, but you might be interested in trying to get a server grade card instead thats got more VRAM if budget is not a question

when i use it on discord in a voice chat, my friends said that my voice has some robotic artifacts, it sounds like a mic crackling. i also hear it when using the "let's check" button in discord voice settings. i'm sure its not the ai/voice changer problem because when i set the output in the voice changer to my headset, it sounds smooth. it only sounds crackling in discord. do you know how to fix it? thanks

The app is very laggy for me, everything comes 10 seconds late. For example if I change AI voice character, it takes like 10 seconds to do so and when I speak it takes very long time to send out the changed voice

Great video, but I have a slight problem. I did everything as you did, step by step, and it did work, at least in a "weird" way, in fact, my entire computer audio when I selected VB Virtual Cable, it became super "choppy", it's like when you tried to test on discord the voice, and with a really bad quality at the same time, what could be a possible fix?

Not sure as I haven't tried it myself but it might have to do with your GPU, I'm guessing this needs a good PC to run in realtime, maybe try putting more chunks, like 80 or something (or even more just to check if that's the issue)

@@laurino. It's not rvc the problem, let me place like this, even if rvc is closed, as long as I place as my main audio input the virtual cable, the whole computer audio gets distorted, so this is why I'm actually confused

Might be incompatibility with the vb audio cable if it's not RVC's issue. I'm not too sure in this case. Try reinstalling that cable maybe

Why and how is the chunk and extra in the options different from your last video? And also, it gets extremely choppy on Discord and I've already turned off Echo cancelation like another person in the comments have said. I'm running a mid-level set up.

I did just release a vid talking about some of the settings, on a mid lvl system it should be pretty good. Might wanna adjust some of the settings and see if you're able to get it to be less choppy with extra, chunk, and crossfade

You'll need to look up how to change audio inputs and outputs on your computer for windows 11 or 10, whatever you have. You can change those back to default or whatever device you originally had. Each app has their own way of mapping device audio as well and you may need to change that too.

Just talking normally, that's what tune is for. Some voice so require you to change your intonation or way of speaking but depends on the trained model and how you want it to sound

Make sure vb audio cable isnt output on discord and you gotta use a headset to prevent feedback

VB cable doesn't work. I uninstalled it, reinstalled it, checked for updates and nothing. No input nor output. I did everything the way you did and it doesn't work at all, not even outside discord. Nobody else seems to be having these issues so I'm a bit lost.

Sorry, when it comes to vb audio cable, I'm not sure on many fixes if it doesn't work on your system. You can try to see if just regular audio files work with it to see if it's the voice changer or vb audio cable's fault

For it to be that responsive you need a better graphics card. Also, it wouldn’t be real time, there would be an input delay in play.

Not sure, some people run into issues here but it could be a discord problem or something wrong with how VB audio is being connected on your system. You can uninstall it by going to device manager --> Audio inputs and outputs and then you can uninstall them there and the reinstall if you would like to try again.

My voice in the client app is okay but when in discord, it is accompanied with a really loud static noise. i already turned off echo and noise suppresion etc but the static noise is always there... dunno what to do

I tried turning off the echo cancellation and noise suppression, but it was choppy and laggy anyways. Might the problem be the hardware? I'm using a gaming laptop.
