ah, but you can turn on bluetooth and connect to the speakers in case they support bluetooth , there are always more than 1 solutions to a problem , do the one which fits your case

This was exactly what I needed to see... My 4k monitor doesn't have speakers and I have the 3.5 mm headphone output jack on my monitor. I hooked up a 4k fire stick and needed to hook up speakers

Hi, I have a laptop connected to another monitor via HDMI. I connected a single male-to-male jack from the back of the monitor to the audio jack of my JBL GO speaker (it is a single speaker only, not 2 like yours so I did not need the splitter). But sound still only comes out from the laptop. Any help?

Yes. Monitors have an AUX OUT. Speakers have an AUX IN. So it is OUT from the monitor and IN to the speakers.

i will make a video for this ..the 3.5mm jack can be connected to a splitter cable through which they can be set to external speakers ...if just 1 speaker, then simply speaker to laptop using using bluetooth ( i am not sure whether multiple speakers can be connected to laptop using bluetooth!

@@blackart7044 sorry i tried that out and that didn't work i.e the bluetooth - but what worked was connecting the speakers to the dell laptop and then selecting from there Though i will make a video for you tommorow, here are the steps 1.) instead of connecting the jbl speakers to the monito connect them to the laptop Now , from the audio options select option headphones ( this will direct to the JBL speakers ) and you will have the monitor output and the audio from the jbl speaker 2. In case you don't have any speakers , you can still take audio from the laptop speakers once you have achieved the hdmi connection, go to audio settings and select from the list of speakers ...one will show the monitor p2419h ( which you will not select) and one will show laptop speakers which in my case was speaker realtek (R )audio ...selecting that will make laptop speakers work If your laptiopo speakers aren't great like mine , i will sugest buyiong some good speakers and then connecting to those after achieving hdmi connecting from the audio settings , anyways will make a video tommorow, if i forget you can remind me on amlandutta007@gmail.com

in case you don't have a audio jack , i have made a video for that as well ( check the endscreen ) ...basically when you pair any device with the monitor , you can use the device internal speakers or connect speakers to the device and select those for the audio output ( from the audio settings ) ...check the detailed step by step video for that ...take care
