How To Connect Speakers To A Computer (Tutorial)

In this video, I show you how to connect speakers to a computer. It is a tutorial that is geared towards showing you one of the basic computer connections that you will likely have to make when connecting the components of a desktop computer. I outline 2 specific ports that you can use to connect speakers to a desktop computer.

Thanks buddy, it's been a very long time since I had anything but a laptop and this was very helpful. I knew i had two audio ports on the back but I didn't know if I was supposed to use the blue or the green so yeah that was very helpful. I just bought a used desktop off amazon and no instructions on what port is what they just assume you know everything, lol

Ok to be honest, I been having problems with my computer lately and I can't find any way to fix it. But of what he said about connecting it to the headphone jack. That surprisingly worked. Thank you so much for showing me that. (Thumbs up)

You're a life saver, i think my sound port in back green insert died, so I could not hear my speaker sound system. When you said go microphone in front i can hear my speaker system thank you. I could not stand PC speakers flat and boring. Thank you for posting this video :)

i have creative speakers and i dont have a power supply cord? i think they are sbs580 type of speakers and the big rectangle shape didnt come with them?

Thanks for the video - I connected my mic to my fb account, however, it turned off the connect to my logitech speakers, any idea how to get them back on again?! Its been like it for months and ive no idea how to get my great speakers working :(

thanks for showing how to connect the speakers. However, I can't get any sound out of the speakers. They are small external speakers and I have inserted brand new batteries in. Still no sound will come from these speakers.

back green port didn't work :( only headphone jack worked. At least with the Logitech z130. Which i got specifically for plugging into the back green port. Now idon't know if some how the hdmi cable overrides this and or that my monitor has speakers, but i can't figure out anyofther way to get it tot work. plus i have the horrible windows 10 installed . :(
