will it recognize the cigarette lighter socket; is it possible to hear the sound from your phone to the BT ? cos I can pair it easily using the G7 car kit lighter but theres no option to go to BT on the console menu, it changes over and everything to music but theres no sound becasue the menu is stuck on radio , cd,Aux etc..

Nice vid again. I have Bluetooth telephone on my F10, does this mean I automatically have Bluetooth audio for music? I can't see where to enable this or does this need coding in? Cheers

@@GeorgeAusters what is combox? I got myself a 2007 530i that uses exact same idrive system and found that i cannot listen to music with bluetooth, but can only make phonecalls. Cheers.

@@ilovetitanium4136 not the car battery but key fob bat. There's two types of key fobs Comfort access-you can change battery any time, no need for programming Non comfort access-key fob is sealed, to change the battery you have to cut it open, battery requires soldering and you have to program the fob after job is done

Thats just for calls, if you don.t have the A2DP module you can.t stream music i know thats how my e90 used to be ... now in the f30 is much better especially after i installed a android screen ... if you have the budget you should get one and do a video on it

Don't have it in my e60. Fm transmitter permanently installed in the rear cigarette lighter does the job. Works flawlessly, just pairs with phone automatically everytime I get in.

Whenever I try to connect my phone to the car, the car shows my phone. But my phone won't get connected to it. Then when it does it says connected for calls only and not audio
