I've just set all mine up now I've had the Yamaha PSR e463 just gathering dust in my bedroom, so I am starting playing again I've got the iPad 9th gen and the apple camera cable and took the cable off my printer connected it all up to my sound bar absolutely awesome, I've 7 music apps on my iPad garage band Yamaha synth book isequence, music studio and 2 I have just recently purchased for 89p each and they are just great the sounds that you get are amazing and they have been taken from the very expensive syntherziser that you can get, like Roland, Korg, tyros.

For the cable it's a printer cable. Just get an original printer cable. It'll work fine. You're welcome.

Hi. Yes you can use this keyboard as midi controller. You can perform many functions on iphones and android that suport midi and usb input.

I bought lightning cable for ipad and AB USB cable and I tried to connect and record from my yamaha keyboard to garageband but it doesn’t work so you have any ideas for me? Please let me know. I also got lightning cable from apple site

Thanks dude, this is exactly my model of KB!! = SUPER useful! \o/ (I am day1 noobie with all ios kit) So.... I can now record 453 KB with a DAW (GarageBand / Cubasis 2 / Auria Pro etc ) How about adding effects to the KB sound, from an effects app / plug in? Maybe through Audiobus 3 / AUM? And, can I use the Yamaha to play the sounds from a synth app? EDIT: Oh yeah, is there a way to plug in both my KB / Electric Guitar / Controller, without constantly swapping out the plugs in the ios camera adapter thingie? Thanks :)

Yes you can. Just select record voice or instrument and there you can record whatever the piano plays.

It will come from the keyboard since the iPhone detects this keyboard as an audio interface.

Sir, I got PSR E-413 in My Room, and I still can't connect to Garageband. Here is my step by step - Turn on Garageband on Mac - Turn on the Keyboard - Plug my cable to MIDI port & USB on Mac - Function set Local to Off - And still can't connect Pls help me out :((

Sorry! I don’t own a Mac so I am not sure, I think it should work just fine, as it works on iPads.

Go install for yamaha driver to your mac and try again :)
