In this video, I walk you through how to connect and control multiple PTZ Camera using AVKANS Joystick Controller even there is no Ethernet. It is much easier and much less cost to install and set up compare to RS232 or RS485 connection.
Key points:
1. Connecting all the cameras and controller into the same POE switcher.
2. Set the cameras and controller to be the same IP range(Remark: 192.168.1.10 and 192.168.1.20 are in the same IP range, 192.168.2.** are not in the same IP range)

Awesome! Will this controller also work with other PTZ cameras in our inventory that are not AVKANS brand? Such as PTZOptics or AIDA?

PTZ optics yes, AIDA, we have not tried, but it should work since their camera supports VISCA protocol as well.

Two questions: Where does the switch get its power? Does it plug into a 120v wall socket? What is the device sitting between your laptop and the switch. Where can I buy these accessories? Thanks.

That is IP joystick controller, with PoE, plug to TP link PoE switch. PoE switch plug into 110V or 220V wall socket. The device is USB hub with Ethernet port. For more helps, pls contact our tech support: avkans.pro@gmail.com

Good day. I keep assigning the first IP to camera 1 but the second IP then takes the name of camera 1. If I assign a camera to camera 2 then the other also becomes camera 2. I can only control one camera at a time. Please help me

Pls make sure ID needs to be changed as well. When you set up Camera 2, pls make sure the ID is 2. If you don't change the ID, ID 1 will be recovered.

I think that they meant without INTERNET. I believe it was just translation faux pas.
