How to convert motorcycle headlight connection from ac to dc | headlight from engine to battery

3 жыл бұрынIn this video you will learn how to convert headlight connection from AC to DC , There are two ways to do this modification , in first you don't need to open the front fairing and in 2nd you have to open the front fairing.
For first method you need to remove the side panel and seat from the motorcycle then spot the regulator rectifier or RR unit . Now you have to identify the AC supply wire which is mostly in yellow color , take out the yellow wire from the socket and join a piece of wire with it then connect it with the wire which have 12 volt DC after switching on the key. You can easily find the wire which have 12 volt DC after the key is turn ON in brake switch or flasher , in my case its brown wire. Once the connections are done you can check if the headlight working properly or not.
For second method you need to open the front fairing and then spot the socket of control switch in which the headlight button is present and then spot the yellow ( AC supply wire) and take it out from the upper side means from the control switch side then join it with brown wire ( DC wire) and do check if the headlight start working on DC or not.
One important thing if you motorcycle headlight button and low/high beam and passing buttons are in different control switches then you need to do one more modification . Follow the second control switch in which low/high beam and pass buttons are and spot the yellow wire there and take it out too as the same way you did for other socket and join this yellow wire too with the brown wire.
If your motorcycle have headlight , low/high beam and pass button on same control switch then you don't need this further modification and even if you follow the first method then AC will be converted fully into DC.

I don't comment on videos usually, but I have to tell you, you are spot on It's Yellow/Red wire and Brown is ignitions switched on Positive. Worked like a charm bypassing the AC system and running straight from the battery. Cheers from the US!

you're welcome , when connected to battery headlight will get on if the buttons turn ON even when the motorcycle is lock just like the cars , but on brown wire voltage only comes when key is at ON position

sorry can't share the diagram , but if are using a hazard switch which have all three wires connected to each other when pushed , then all you need to do is connect one - one wire of the switch ( no matter the color ) each to indicators positive wires and one remaining wire of switch to the wire coming from the flasher , that's all , there will we video's on modifications like this in future

that happens if your motorcycle have a BCU in it and the only solution is to either do the modification from handle side or do modification on self button after doing the modification from back side

it wasnt working like i expected though, i have a pulsar 200 dtsi, i connected the yellow wire with the brake switch brown wire, when i turn the key on light also turns on but engine doesnt start unless i disconnect the wire, is there a way to fix this?

you mean self is not working ?? then you need to do further modification for self button as motorcycle with bcu in them required extra step, i don't have a bike with bcu but when i have i'll make video on that

sorry don't have a ug3 model , so can't make video on that , about the other problem you saying that spark is coming in one ignition coil end not in the other one ?? , then you need to check the wire which is coming to that ignition coil which is not working from the cdi it may be broken or burned inside , try to hook a new wire from cdi to the ignition coil to be sure everything is ok and if that's ok the only problem will be is with cdi it self , take a new cdi and replace with the old one and see if that works or not

if you have install performance air filter then you need to tune the carburetor with the help of a professional mechanic who have good knowledge on carbs as you might need to up size the main jet to cope with the increased air flow ,i can't help you in this matter sorry

Btw sir my rpm meter + fuel meter with neutral light and upper dipper light does not work. Before it was working perfectly but after some days it stopped working by it self and with me I don’t have battery but still it was without battery before and now it’s not working the whole console accept the speedo meter can you please help ??? And I have installed new fuel gauge also

Not working brother. When i connect it turns on the light with dc.but headlamp keeps turned all the time even headlight switch is turned off and the bike won't selfstart. Bike is pulsar 200 ug3.any solution?

well there must be wiring problem or something else , otherwise the headlight should work properly , about the self in ug3 there is BCU attached and you have to do further modification to get that working

well its impossible unless your local spare part shop can order for you from there spare part dealers , its is available the one with 3 wires , but if its not available by any chance you can use the new model side stand and there sensor but need to modify the wires

aapko back light mai bhi led bulb lagana hoga ya use AC pe kardo , battery kafi old ho ya charging system slow ho to bhi ye problem aati hai or rahi bat RPM meter ki to bo bhi battery ki 12 volt se chalta hai or jab use proper voltage nahi milti to bo fluctuate karega hi , agar aap bura na mane to second method se modify karke dekhe ki RPM bali problem ati hai ya nahi

nahi bs3 mai bcu laga hai to agese hi modification karni padti hai or self witch ki bhi alag se modification karni padti hai , agarr in future mere pass bs3 bike aai to mai jarur video banauga

fuse check karo , wireing check karo , or agarr sab sahi hai to BCU mai fault ho sakti hai

Bhaiya mene ac to dc kardiya likin ignition on karte he head light on ho ja rh he.... Us time head light ka on of switch kam nhi kar raha he ..... Ase kiyu ho raha he plz bataye.... Mera head light switch thik jab ac me properly on off work kar raha he...

esa tabhi ho sakta hai jab aapne modification galat ki ho , aapne headlight ke pass mai modification ki hai ?? or shayad battery wire ka connection direct headlight mai de diya hai naki headlight switch mai , check kare ache se

@@SAIREPAIR nhi bhai ku6 bhi modifications nhi kiya sabka bolne ke jesa.... Ignition se dc wire ko leke handle bar me jo switch ka wire sab jata je wahi se yellow bali wire ko lagaya..... Usme bhi nhi hua aur baki do wire me bhi lagane se jal rh he likin waise hi..... On of switch kam nhi kar rh he......

in bikes with BCU in them you have to do a further modification for self button

Sir Maine DC Kiya lekin headlight on Karne. Par rpm apne aap uper jaa rha hai kya battery low hone ki wajha se hora hai

rpm ki wiring check karo vo short hogi , battery low hogi to rpm meter bhi nahi chalega , ya ho sakta hai ki appne DC power wali wire ko jo wire niche se aarahi hai usme connect kiya hoga to bhi ye problem ho sakti hai

@@Babu_video_digital OK, mere sath bhi esa ho chuka hai or maine koi modification bhi nahi ki thi , aapko handle ke pass check karna hoga ki kahi headlight wire ya koi or wire strip/cut hoke body ke sath to nahi touch ho rahi , or kisi jagha par bhi ho sakti hai wire strip to acche se check karo , problem headlight on karte hi hai isliye headlight wali wire hi cut hogi , control switch balli wires ko bhi check kar lena

Sir maine rectifier se AC to DC kiya hai but Self kaam nahi kar raha hai, jab connection ac kart hu to selff kaam karta hai aur dc main self start nahi hota hai

main AC to DC kar diya hai lekin RPM metre fluctuate ho raha hai. Pulsar 2004 model hai headlight Ki Roshni bahut hi kam Dikhai de rahi hai

headlight AC TO DC karne pe battery pe jada load padta hai or agar aap LED bulb nahi lagate ya battery charging system proper kam nahi karta to ese mai battery low ho jati hai or self kam nahi karti , isliye pehle sabhi bulbs ko led mai change karo phir dekho problem solve hui ya nahi

charging system check karo ki 14 + volts de raha hai ya nahi , agaar 14 volt se kam hai to ye problem aayigi hi , second aapne sabhi halogen bulbs ko change karke led lagao
