Civil engineering is being transformed from theory-heavy to practice-oriented programme, which needs a constructive laboratory infrastructure, helping students carry out various experiments. A dearth of such infrastructure not only hampers the learning ability of students but also reduces their employment opportunities.
Various job profiles post a civil engineering course requires the incumbent to communicate with multiple stakeholders unlike in the past when the communication in the early career of a civil engineer was limited to semi and unskilled workers.
