I bought Clerks for $5 just to mess with ripping a UMD Movie on my 1000, and assumed PSP Filer would rip it like a UMD Game, which didn't recognize it. Found this video, which is of course from you, and now I can use the ISO on my digital only 2000 & 3000 (both LiPo battery modded). Thanks for all your guides!

Wonder if you can watch them on the vita via adrenaline I would assume yes but I have not tired UMD videos on it yet I love using adrenaline for my PSP games though. Edit turns out adrenaline lacks the media engine thus no movie UMD or music UMD according to the flow.

@@TechJames How do i see all the videos in the folder, the .iso mount in the select menu is limited to 16 movie titles but i have more on my sd card

@@eLarkingaming I figured this out! Here are the steps: 1. Copy a UMD ISO to ISO/VIDEO on your memory card 2. From the XMB press Select to bring up the VSH MENU 3. Go down to ISO VIDEO MOUNT and press right on the DPAD to select the UMD ISO you copied over 4. Press select to close the VSH MENU and you'll see the UMD mount under Video

Nope i don't think there is, unless an extend VSH would include it? I would like to see a PSP movie running on the PS Vita! :D

I tried it today, I put the iso in the shown directory, opened VSH menu, selected the iso file by clicking right, but when I at the end press x the psp gp doesn`t restart. Instead the iso file is again deselected. I am on 6.60 LME-2.3 System Software, maybe this is the problem? I found the solution: You have to enable the UMD video patch in the recovery menu and now the movies boot up just fine :)

Really helpful thanks a lot except I need to change my region first as the psp won't even recognize the umd. I believe you need a Pandora battery and magic memory stick in order to achieve this.

Will I be able to perform all the normal functions still? What I plan to do is copy from my PSP 2000, copy the iso to my computer, then convert to mp4 to put on a thumb drive for my living room. Is it worth it or do you recommend buying a 2nd hand psp model?

Your VSH menu says "Pro VSH Menu" version but my friend's is "M33 VSH Menu". Can it still convert to ISO then?

Hey folks we should upload our iso movies on to the internet and share them with other psp users. I Don't want to buy any more psp movies, I already own 10 of them. I have turned them into iso and it works. Which is why I say let's all get together and upload the files. Would google drive work for sharing movies? Somebody please reply!

Oh my god, this worked! Cool. Thank you very much. Now another question, Could I put an MP4 into it and play from there? If not, then how? If you would be so kind. I have a PSP 3001 with all the bells and whistles, I believe. No Vita.

You can place video files on your memory stick and they will play. You don’t need to create image files or anything, just make sure the file is formatted correctly. They go in ms0:/VIDEO/ The video file needs to be the following specifications: Width: 480 pixels Height: 272 pixels Format: mp4 Encoding: H.264 (AVC) If any of these are off, the file will show as corrupt in XMB. Handbrake will do this for you, just need to set up the preset.

When I select my iso movie with x, it just says none. If I press the button select on a iso movie it quickly puts on the movie as if I inserted it, no reboot required. Is this normal? I have a psp 1000

Whenever I plug in or manually press on USB mode the psp freezes for about ten seconds and then shuts off completely, running 6.61 LME-2.3 infinity. Any help is appreciated

It won't work with 6.61 LME-2.3 Infinity. I tried it on that CFW and it did the same to me. I tried it on my other PSP with CFW 6.61 PRO-C Infinity and it worked fine. Hope this helps.

Forgot to mention once you transfer the iso file to the video folder through CFW 6.61 Pro C, you'll be able to watch the movie on both CFW 6.61 Pro C and 6.61 LME-2.3 Infinity.

Found a work around on LME-2.3, you just need to overclock the CPU on xmb to 333/166 and it will get through. I think Lme just doesn't coordinate enough memory for ripping a UMD

Fucking wicked man, I download movies on my phone using utorrent and I want to convert those movies to the format necessary to play on psp. I know I can just watch em on the phone but thats kinda boring. I tried many converter apps but the movies show up as corrupted. Any video on that? I was drunk and my pc fell on the tile breaking it, so my phone needs to do for now
