How to Cook Basmati Rice Perfectly | Tips for non-sticky basmati rice for biryani and fried rice.
One of the basics of cooking is to get the rice cooked perfectly and non-sticky especially when preparing it for biryani or fried rice or pulao.
There are some very simple tips and techniques to be followed while cooking rice to make the perfect basmati rice.

The timing of cooking the rice will vary widely based on the variety of basmati rice used. Cooking in simmer and stirring in between, constantly checking after 7-8 minutes will yield perfection.
Ingredients:
Rice - 1 cup
Oil - 1 tsp
Water - 3 cups
Salt - 1.5 tsp

This is the fourth video I've watched on "how to make the best basmati rice" or similar claim. I have seen four different ways than the way I cook it. Seems they're all the best way. This vid is the first one to use oil, though.

I’m normally good at cooking rice but basmati always came out dry af in my rice cooker. My ratio of water was the same as cooking sushi rice. I’m going to try 1 part basmati and 3 parts water in the rice cooker and see if it get the same desired result!

Yes you can, just coat the rise with either vegetable or olive oil prior to cooking in a rice cooker.

Yea but for me rice sticks to bottom of the rice cooker... Perhaps rice is too fragile for the cooker
