thank you for your video, i didn't know that I can use the rice cooker for do it especially put the whole sausage at the begining of the cooking process. I will try to use a basket also, and pre cut he saussage in slice then add this basket loaded of sausage slices 5 minutes before the end of the rice cooking process.

I live in Montreal and I have no idea but being Chinese I have almost lived on these and one of my favorites was duck liver and these up here but do they still make those Duck liver ones any longer?/
@normlor81097 жыл бұрын
this brand you showed is the one I always buy here in Canada but never have I seen anything called happy meat although I have never really looked for it. eating these babies with or on it while I steam my rice as well. I always thought it was only my Dad who used to do this.
@sasquatchdonut26742 жыл бұрын
You can get big packs of them at Costco really cheap. Other places are usually higher on them

Prior to placing sausages into the rice cooker, I prefer to cut the sausage into bite-sized pieces and place them into a small bowl. This prevents all of the pork oil (and there's a lot) from mixing with the rice.

I loved Chinese sausage as a child. I think my grandson would love this! What is your understanding of it's nutritional value? Is it good to give to a young child?

i bought pork lap cheong ....... i looked up all kinds of recipes (all where the same ish) but ...... some how i dont think the sausage i bought is the ones mentioned cause it did not get fat like in the video or gotten that bright color ....... the outer skin turned white and it did not get bigger like most sausages wen boiled....... what did i buy :/
@RucidaBlackletter8 жыл бұрын
chicken sausage? some places simply call them pork sausage tho... just make sure u find those red ones with weird dark patches, not all turn out like hers, they should just taste sweetish and be red... haha
@ninim70088 жыл бұрын
I bought all i found and the pork ones where not that great while the chicken ones came closer to the ones in the video but still they did not swell up much when boiled.
@RucidaBlackletter8 жыл бұрын

Can someone help? My husband git some really sweet pork sausages and sweet chicken sausages from a trip to Burma. The packets are in Burmese script but I imagine they are sweet Chinese sausages. My problem is, I have a mental block! I J am just not finding them palatable. I've never had meat which tastes like dessert! Can anyone suggest some recipes for someone who is not used to sweet sweet pork or chicken? Even the sweet smell is kind of unappealing. I know. I need to acquire a taste for this. So please help.
@williamtay7417 жыл бұрын
Hi sorry for the late reply, I am from Burma or Myanmar or what ever you want call it. Grew up there for a good 10 years and the sausages you are talking about? If they are red and they are sweet, they are proberbaly the Chinese Sausage like in this video... I am a Myanmar-Chinese but in Myanmar they call it Myanmar sausage also. It is up to your personal preferance really but you can use it as a side dish or simply enjoy it with rice. Can be used in Fried Rice also.
@williamtay7417 жыл бұрын
My suggestion is that well I eat it with just white rice? I fry it in a pan then I eat it with plain white rice, you can add sweet soy sauce to the rice if you like but I don't have soy sauce so... Also the rice should be nice and warm to enjoy the full taste of the Chinese Sausage.
@fashionearrings7 жыл бұрын
Thank you that's exactly how I'm having them. With rice, stir fry... I got two types. Pork and the chicken ones have soy sauce. Both very very sweet! My brain got confused lol...

Cool, enjoy the sweet threats. P.S This is my favourite ingrident.
