So when you said there was a lot of grease, it’s actually water releasing from the meat and when that happens it’s best to keep it on the stove and let it evaporate. After it evaporates you get into searing the meat, that’s where your depth of flavor comes in. When cooking ground beef in my opinion it’s best to crack open two cloves of garlic skin on, add finely chopped onion and add a sprig of thyme for a deep aromatic flavor. Then once you’ve caramelized the onions and you really get the garlic coming through toss your beef in and cook it as I said with all of the ingredients. You’ll have great taste at a low cost!

Thanks Logan for the great comment. I just made this as basic as I could. I love your ideas and maybe one day I will make a more detailed recipe like yours. Also yes there is water but I find alot of it is fat. If you dump it into a cup you can see it. Thanks so much for the comment and I will be sure to make a video and use some of your ideas

Native Cowboy You sound like such a health nut, if you’re worried about the safety concerns of adding additional flavor to meat through the Maillard reaction then don’t eat meat. Fat is not bad and you’re batshit crazy if you think so, what you’re saying to me is that you don’t like fatty things, so don’t eat meat and start drinking skim milk.

Hey, yes its a non stick pan. Any non stick pan will work. The meat has fat and when the fat melts it becomes oil so you do not really need oil. Also if your pan is really old they sometimes dont work anymore and things will stick.

I add seasoning after I drain. If adding before you could drain some flavour

Do you keep it on high the whole time? How long do you cook it for exactly and what temperature exactly?
@whowhatwherewhenhowto159
@whowhatwherewhenhowto159 3 жыл бұрын
I keep it on high the whole time. The time can change depending on your stove but it should not take longer then 15 minutes. If you want to be sure use a thermometer and cook till its 165. But once its nice and brown you should be good to go !

I don't think is parents are gonna be too happy he drained the oil down the sink
@yamyam4121

What my parents do is scoop the meat to one side of the pan and tilt the pan on the stove a bit to let the oil go on the other side of the pan :) then they just throw it outside or in the trash :0

You should never do this but I did forget while making this video. Normally I drain it into a water bottle. Thanks for the comment

No oil needed, the meat has fat in it and that melts and becomes oil !

So what do I do if I'm making tacos and it says to add water since I know adding water to hot oil won't end well.
@whowhatwherewhenhowto159
@whowhatwherewhenhowto159 3 жыл бұрын
You should drain the oil first ( you do not have to ) then you can add the water in the pan with taco mix ! Do not worry Connor its safe to do so ! I will also be posting a video on how to make tacos so look out for that !
