Yo i used to be a KFC cook when i was a teen and we only used dry ingredients for our breading method - dry milk and egg powder and the 11 herbs and spices. But i tried your recipe. Club soda was interesting. I usually use the buttermilk soak method but your game is strong. Your recipe is pretty darn good. I respect your KFC game.

This recipe is seriously good! I cooked this using 3 whole thighs & 3 drumsticks! Seriously freaking crispy & it stays crispy even after an hour. Not 100% identical to KFC original recipe but an excellent twist on it. Colonel would have been so proud!

I can honestly say I've made a few of this dude's recipes and he's a genius in the kitchen. I absolutely love his cooking and his fry chicken game. One if the best. Next recipe I'm gonna try is the vietnamese dish with flat grill sliced beef, shrimp vegies and rice paper wrap. So pumped for that!

Tried this a few days and while it’s not exactly the same, it did kind of taste like it while eating the 3rd drum and it looks exactly like KFC. I think I’ll lower the salt a bit, double up on the pepper and increase the herbs next time. I’m definitely gonna keep reusing this club soda technique tho because the fried chicken was perfectly cooked.

Just done this recipe but with bud lager... this is very good and couldn't marinate for more than 1 hour because I was so hungry...also made slaw and onion rings...coming from the UK I couldn't find the louiseanna chilli sauce so made SF gravy..thumbs up mate...Great job

I use the "instant-read thermometer test". Seriously, get yourself one. Or, if I don't feel like getting it out of the drawer, I'll use the chopstick one. The "water test" just seems inaccurate and dangerous.

Lol it’s just a drop or two of water to see if it pops. I stopped doing that a while ago and would use flour to see if it was hot. Now I do the chopstick test. I have a thermometer but I use chopsticks to fry food anyway so no point in using it lol
