I’m shook, I understood most of what this lovely woman was saying. I’m south Asian born in the UK. Yk how??? Because Ive heard my Sierra Leonean mother in law cuss me out too many times 😂😂😂😂 Can’t wait to make this for my husband ❤ thank you

This is my first time seeing Sierra Leone jollof and it certainly looks nice. The jollof wars have always been between Nigeria and Ghana but this right here looks great too.💖 The voiceover is certainly unique as well. Much love from Nigeria❤️

Jollof rice is West Africa dish. Not Nigerian and Ghanaian dish only.

Waterloo Titi, thank you very much for your wonderful work, and all your useful information. However, your method of cooking Jollof is different from the one I am used to as a Sierra Leonean. Rather than cooking two stews, to avoid excess oil, cook only one stew and use it as a gravy for the jollof and some to cook the rice. My method goes as, When you finish cooking the stew, take some potion from the pot and reserve it to use when eating the jollof. Leave a bit of stew in the pot to cook the rice, add some water, and season to taste and cook the rice. Anyway whatever way you cook your jollof, it still looks good. Once again thank you very much I am one of your fans ❤.

Yummy the second best jollof rice of Africa. First will always be the original country of jollof rice Senegal 🇸🇳 Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 is the second BEST. I don’t know what Ghana and Nigeria are doing but it didn’t make it 😂😂😂 I’m Nigerian and I don’t even like my own country rice 😂

That’s what our food is so different yet very delicious. We are not shy about onions…😂 I brought cassava leaves to Nigeria to cook for my fiancé and the amount of onions he wanted me to get vs what I prefer to use was funny
@henriettaraphael4368 Жыл бұрын
@@kbs149th oh yes. Yorubas use loads of onions. Igbo not so much but equally delicious. My tribe just moderate use too. It’s amazing how we eat the same food in Africa and we don’t even know that we do. I have a lot of African tourism to do. One day soon
@kbs149th Жыл бұрын
@@henriettaraphael4368 my fiancé is Yoruba and I noticed that as well. He was still shocked about how much onion I needed lol. I showed him how much onion I cut to make jollof rice yesterday and he was so shocked lol. It turned out nice but it could have had more onions 🤣🤣
