I've been drumming for 4 or 5 years, but I've never had a teacher, just learned all the stuff from listening to music and sort of copying it, and this actually taught me something...

You guys are really the best, im only 15 so I don't have a job otherwise I would join drumeo. but I watch the videos you put on you tube and they help me so much you would not even know. Drumming really comes natural to me but I did not get any lessons so I did not know the technical name tor every thing. but for so long I tried to understand more about the theory of drumming because im in a band and I like to wright my music down. so I done a lot of searching on the web about the theory of drumming and I came across drumeo and you guys taught me basically all the stuff I needed to know. I subscribe to your drumeo channel and watched all a theory lessons and thanks to you guys I now am writing my music down like I'm a professional. all I really needed to know was the theory, and I got that down pat now. Thank you guys so much keep it up hopefully someday when I get a job I will be able to buy a membership. And sorry for leaving such a long comment.

I've been playing quarter notes and eighth notes all the time and didn't even know lol. Drumming is a natural talent for me. I didn't get any lessons from anybody anywhere, but it's funny because these basic beats I don't even know, I've been playing them all this time!

My friend taught be about counting 8th notes along time ago and within in 15 minutes I was able to Jam along with him playing piano. I have no idea how to play drums but I must say I think I sounded fairly good for someone that struggles with rhythm playing guitar lol but it taught me alot about music and tempo and translated to my guitar playing

Thank you so, so much for "dumbing this down" for me. You explained it in a way that I can follow and understand. I am 50 years old, and I am JUST now learning to play. All that to say that I start this video and loop it until I have it mastered ...THEN I will be ready to move on to your next video.

@slashcadd9202012 Hey I also don't have drums yet. The cool thing about drums that I know, I'ts a feeling. So you can hit ANYTHING if you have rythm! AWESOME!!

This being said, how come 6/8 (Six counts of 8th notes) are supposedly counted as "one-two-three, four-five-six" (OR one-and-a-two-and-a), or 2 groups of triplets?

@stubbyburritoproductions37645 жыл бұрын
I know this probably won't get an answer But is this how you count 4/8? Because the second number in a time signature is the note value, and 8 means eighth I'm a beginner, sorry if I'm way off.
