In this video you will see how to make a false two-sided beam to cover a PVC pipe.
The materials that we are going to use are:
- Standard plasterboard
The laminated plasterboard is composed of a core of gypsum additives and covered on both sides with a sheet of cellulose. It has a cream-colored visible face that allows any final finish. The hidden side is brown.
- U or angle profiles.
They are galvanized steel profiles.
- 6mm plastic plugs
They are made of nylon and their quadruple expansion guarantees maximum resistance.
- 4.5x35 screws.
- 25 drywall screws.
- Self-adhesive strip for acoustic insulation.
FONODAN BJ band, two-layer product made up of a high-density self-adhesive membrane and thermo-sealed polyethylene. It provides acoustic mass to the body of the tube and minimizes the noise of the evacuation pipes in all types of buildings. Fonodan bj is not very thick, making it easier to adapt to the downpipe, facilitating its installation. The application temperature is over 10°C, therefore, in winter it must be taken into account that the product has a lot of inertia and takes time to reach the application temperature. 10 ml and 42 cm format.
Video transcript:
We're going to plug part of this pipe.
In this video I will test this cordless drill sent to me by the company Banggood (Bangud).
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to test the product. In the description you can find the link to the product and the page.
First of all, we mark on one side and on the other the width that we want to give the drawer.
We position the laser so that it passes through the marks we made.
We take a U or an angle and fix it along the laser line.
We use 6mm plastic plugs with 4.5x35 screws.
Once the U is fixed, we will place another U on the wall. For that we place the laser at the desired height.
Now we take a U and fix it along the laser line.
oh If you need, you can put a self-adhesive strip on the tube for sound insulation.
You still there?
Thank you. If you are not yet subscribed, do not think twice.
We continue.
As the stone is irregular, we make a U cut so that it fits better.

Thanks to Banggood for the drill, it is ideal to have at home, for your projects.
We measured up to the laser to cut some strips of plasterboard. As the slab has a difference, we make them a few cm wider.
We mark and cut it with a cutter.
We put the strips and screw them. The screws go more or less at a distance of 25cm.
We cut along the laser line.
Now we screw a U on the edge. I am going to take advantage of leftover pieces of profiles.
We place the laser in line with the septum.
We measure to the laser at the widest point, and cut a strip of plasterboard about 4 cm wider than the measurement.
We place it and fix it with two screws.
To make the shape of the stone, we will use a jar lid with a hole right in the center.
We unscrew it and cut it.
We placed it and screwed it to the back.
We fix it with two screws at the front.
We cut along the laser line.
If the partition is a little inside, we screw a screw to be able to pull it and fix it right in line.
Depending on the spacing we use a larger or smaller circle to make the shape of the stone.
Ready our drawer to hide the tube.
