My wife and I were playing on our world and accidentally made 9 stone swords. After laughing about it for quite some time an altar was constructed in the jungle and in it a chest containing the "9 legendary Swords of stone" it is becoming abit of a deity and paying respects at the alter every now and then is a thing. No idea how this lore happened it just kinda did lol

When I was enchanting things one time, I enchanted a book that had 5 different things on it. Impressed, I showed it to my friends on the server. One of them dubbed it "The Book of Crack" I then proceeded to make a redstone combination lock puzzle, and a 12 page in-game lore book about it's origins. I also renamed sugar "Crack" and hid a secret banner in the chest. My friends then solved the puzzle and read the book, they couldn't stop laughing.

A long time ago in my realm me and a friend were on the way to an ocean monument to get sponge. Our journey became know as the "sponge quest" to my other friends, a fabled story of two travelers on a quest. On our way we made a little fort to survive the night (Fort Sponge). Now a days Fort Sponge is an ancient ruin. I recently wrote a book about a traveler discovering the Ancient fort and describing it. Its day 4800 now on the realm, the Fort was made on day 1088, Its is *actually* ancient history to us now.

there was this joke that happened in our smp with a tree house and i literally said lore once and never stopped so now im dedicated to our server having some kind of lore

when she said “do the members in your smp have their own individual backstorys” Made me instantly think of the time me and my brother planed out an smp for the future And he couldn’t think of backstory and lore for the character he was playing as,so i helped him make a backstory :D And Thanks SO much this helped a lot and gave me so many ideas!

A while ago now I used to be in a world building server with about 100-200 people. We had countries, politics, wars, religions as well as things that happened like empires and conflicts between empires. We did attempt to start a season 2 to try and reignite the fun but it wasn’t the same and we quickly shut down the server after a few weeks.

꙰ghoulishes ꙰ 23 seconds ago BEST LORE THINGY? I had a very odd experience that I was wondering if anyone else has experienced. It might sound crazy but me and my friends caused some sort of “time warp” thing by killing a villager. We were making an ongoing joke about this villager being invincible and insanely lucky. So my friend thought it would be funny to make a 15x15 nuke of TNT and light it right on top of the villager. Now of course we flew really far from our main village we built not wanting to cause harm to our builds. But the overload of tnt started glitching me and all my friends game. The time of day was different for all of us and we started seeing duplicates of ourselves and are friends glitching around the map. This was kind of scary and we were all talking about it in VC. On the way back to the village the lag finally stopped and we all were fine but every single villager was frozen in place and wouldn’t walk or even make noise. We though our games crashed but everything else worked fine. Opening doors, chests, etc. We were confused on how to fix this so we left the game and we all restarted our games and joined back Into our server and to our surprise the villager we executed YESTERDAY was back in his previous house and the explosion was still there and villagers were moving yet again. My friend was spooked because we killed the villager for pushing another villager into a campfire. This world was already a roleplay world and we decided to use this for some lore and made a monument to remember the time warp. Telling our other friends abt this when they were offline wasn’t easy. Nobody believed us and everyone thought we were crazy or seeing things.

I've owned a lore SMP for a year and a half now, and I gotta say this is really good advice.

This is so helpful, not just for minecraft storytelling, but for any kind of lore creation! I really liked the point about asking questions, that made it really click for me :D

Not technically for Minecraft, but a concept I had while playing Minecraft with mods (so it might count?) is "bronze age civilization discovers dinosaurs, worships them as gods." One idea for this religion is "the more understood, the more revered" placing Psittacosaurus as one of, if not the most, most depicted dinosaurs (as we have 11/12 species, know the growth from hatchling to adult, coloration, and way more than you'd expect from something that's been dead for over 100 million years)

imma use this comment as notepad: Genre: high fantasy with original races and cultures Tone: fun but mysterious Over all Lore: The world has been scattered and split by a monstrous earthquake. The few survivors have made settlements, looking for other societies. Personal Lore: Every player gets to build his own society/village. We have the rule to be humane to villagers and that theres no exploiting of auto farms or alike. The goal of the play is to find the cause of the earth quake (opening of the end or smth like that)

I mean I can always make a lore in which everyone else is dead, we lost everything and I'm the only survivior of some event.

i play single player but i LOVE pretending im playing with someone else. but my story right now is a wanderer coming across and a landed oak house with trap doors covering the windows and and near by cobblestone tower with an iron door. inside the oak house will be a journal describing what the now missing owner of the house experienced, about the cobblestone tower's owner and tips on where to find things the oak owner left behind.

The genre I Really like would be Fantasy,Adventure,Action,Historical Fiction and a bit of Mystery...My lore thinking is often based on what I see in some animes I watch,Wattpad,Games,Existing Lore Smps and Minecraft Roleplays which I often see and I can sometimes think of Alternatives Turn of events regarding the Roleplay,Anime,Games,Lore and Stories I come across.... 😅😅 I also like experimenting with Different Modpacks so I have a lot of Lore I'm thinking about but as much as I want to do the lore I'm thinking about I have to build the places where the lore takes place in which is very hard to do since I have to create the entire world using world Edit make it as Natural as possible andalso I have to Build the actual Backgrounds and Places for lore...... 😅😅 and even if I finished the builds needed I am only alone and most Lore and Roleplays I Think of Includes at least 5 or more people to do..... 😓😅

Me and my friends made an SMP, we mainly build but we all have backstories, 4 of us are a 'cult' called the 'Villain-Arc' and we are represented by a dandelion, for now we just cause general mischief, its pretty fun

I really appreciate this video! I play Minecraft and Roblox, and in Roblox I have these cute dog creatures called 'block dogs' and I have some world's for them to explore in Roblox. I'm a big fan of the overall world, but I also really love character driven stories. I draw dog original characters, and this has set me on the right path to possibly connect the two stories! Keep strong. Dont forget that despite the evil in this world, God is full of justice, mercy and love. Justice said we broke His perfect law - causing the world's previous perfection to be destroyed - and therefore we deserve Hell (like a punishment in any legal system but this is eternal as His perfect law is eternal too). Don't think you fit in that category? Ever done one of these?: lying, stealing - regardless of how small the object EVER, hating others - which is murder in God's perfect law, lusting (plus God sees our entire thought life). Justice says "the soul that sins shall die" - if we break one in thought/word/deed it's as if we're guilty of all of them. Quite simply, living by the law (which is doing everything perfectly) is impossible for sinful humans . The law shows us that 1. We will die in Hell if we fail to follow it and 2. We cannot save ourselves BUT, 3. God's perfect, immovable law points us to Christ, who followed and fulfilled the law in thought, word and deed perfectly in our place. He did what we couldn't and did it on our behalf. He was then sentenced to death on a cross, and took our personal punishment for our sin, paying our penalty (like paying our fine) completely FOR us, and has given us freedom. If we turn from the sins we have committed and repent (pursue the opposite direction of love through Christ) He will, overtime, recreate us into His image through The Holy Spirit which Jesus sends to all who accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior of their life. We cannot purify ourselves, but Christ lived that perfect sinless, pure life and then allotted it to our "account". That's where our righteousness comes from. Not from any good, works that you or I could do. It is not based on the amount of good works we do. God starts the changes, He carries it on, and He completes it in those who let Him. It's about letting Christ in to guide and teach you and obeying Him, again, through His power and instruction). He is our substitute in His life, death and resurrection. He essentially rewrote history in our place so that, if you believe in Him, it will be as if YOU had never sinned if you accept Christ's death as our own in our place. He is in Heaven right now preparing a place for us so that He can take His faithful, believing children home with Him when He returns. He will ressurrect us from death when He returns, giving mercy to those who accept His love, forgiveness, instruction and teachings in their life, and give justice to those who refuse it. He doesn't want ANY of us to go to Hell and die for continuing in evil and rejecting His way to life, thats why He died FOR us. Hes giving EVERYONE a chance, He wants everyone to take the free gift of salvation from Hell. He wants us to be His and begin to follow His life of love and service through His power and abiding (staying) with Him. So long as we keep our hearts near to Christ through His strength, strive to follow His will of perfect love revealed in the Bible, and let Him lead in the midst of (very certain) pitfalls and struggles, we will, in time, win the ultimate victory over sin, pain and DEATH through Christ. Even if you are willing to be made willing, pray for Jesus to come in and He will do what we can't. Give us The Holy Spirit who will guide us in the right way. NOTE: You are NEVER too sinful or messed up that God cannot turn your life around through Jesus. EVER If you have any questions let me know
