This is a sewing "how to" video, showing you how to create a beautiful fringe kimono/duster from a robe and other thrifted items. This is a very boho/hippie look, and would be wonderful for festivals, beach or even to sell in your own shop or online.

I just found you yesterday and basically watched as long as my eyes would stay open last night! As a life time crafter I am amazed at your teaching skills. You are also showing so much of your process, even when it doesn't go to plan and what to do if that happens! I love everything boho. And there's no exception when it comes to dusters. They are very much my thing with everything...lol😁. I absolutely love this one. The roses are the best. I actually hand sew my roses... but this is a game changer for me. I love your videos. This is BEAUTIFUL ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. PLEASE KEEP THEM COMING 👍

Love this boho kimono and love the color. I tend to take long kimonos and shorten them because I am short, but this longer version looks so good on you. Please consider modeling the garment a little longer for us to look at, since you spent so much time making it special. I find I have to click on stop so I can get a good look at it. Maybe a few shots of it up-close so we can see all the details too. I admire your work, so just want to see a little more of it at the end of your videos :)

I use a full load with hot water and add some vinegar to go thru a complete wash cycle after using to dye.

If you rolled each of those strips up then start the braid it eliminates the tangling and speeds it up enormously

One of my favorite things about dying different fabrics the same color is that they sometimes come out different shades which of course still combine. If you use 100% cotton thread it will take dye.

If you're concerned, Google "mordants" to see what else you can use to make fabric hold the dye well.

I hate that RIT dye, it never works well so don’t bother using that one for polyester synthetics the one I swear by is an Australian dye named TINTEX, I’ve been using it for 20 years and never fails to have a great result
