More about this video:
You see these types of badge logos everywhere. They were popular in the past and still popular today. Sporting teams, camping equipment, breweries, and more all use the iconic vintage badge style layout. There’s just something about it that makes the design feel trustworthy (like an old seal on a certificate)!
In this video, we’re making a badge logo together using Heritage Designer (now Kittl), and it’s going to be super easy, and a lot of fun! I will show you step by step how to choose a badge design, how to layout your type, and some really neat tricks to make your design stand out from the others. 💪
We also have plenty of vintage badge logo templates if you don't feel confident starting from scratch right away. It's easy to create vintage badge logo with a template, because all you have to do is edit some text, change some colors, maybe choose a different illustration and you are ready to go!

Another excellent tutorial, can these logos be imported into VCarve for use in cnc machining? ie export from Heritage as SVG, pdf, jpg bitmap or vector files?

Hey there! Yes, SVG and PDF export options are available at the pro and expert subscriptions! There should be no issues using them with CNC programs :)

@@stateofpanic Hey Lori! An SVG file should be what you need in order to convert it to however you need it for Glowforge. I'm not entirely sure on the specifics of Glowforge, but there shouldn't be an issue with Laser printing as we have many users that do this. :)

I just purchased heritage designer pro, can I upload other heritage fonts and clip art and use it in designer pro? I’m interested in uploading the heritage series or is that already in designer pro?

Hey there! Most all of our Heritage Type fonts are already in Kittl, but you are welcome to upload additional fonts of your own (or free google fonts) with an Expert Kittl account.

so this is an app on the computer? not using photoshop? because i use canva for most of my designs, i find photoshop too hard. if this is its own design app then i am buying today!

Hey David! This actually works right in your browser! No need for the expensive downloadable software. There is a free tier you can get immediately (use the link in the description), and there are 2 paid tiers that include vector download.

Hey there! You can certainly type out 3 letters in 3 individual text boxes and place them how you would like them. :) We can maybe do a video showing that idea soon!

I’m so confused! I purchased from Heritage Type Co. a Vintage Font bundle 6 months ago and what I downloaded seemed worthless compared to their ad that sold me on IG 🙄 I never could figure it out! Now I’m running across a ton of emails in my promotional inbox that I never see and I’ve ended up here on your channel. This is what I thought I was getting when I made the purchase. Does what I have create what you’re showing here? My promo inbox is full of emails for free downloads that I’ve missed. Please help me understand if my vintage font bundle does all of this!

The Vintage Font Bundle includes Font Files, Templates, and Graphic tools to use in Programs like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Affinity Designer, etc. But Kittl is an online web app we have created that does include all of the fonts in the Vintage Font Bundle, as well as the elements like corners, florals, frames, and more!
