@@jenniferb6932 Thanks but this is no longer accurate. I was selling Daniel Smith for a while when my travel kit was being manufactured in Korea. The Josie Lewis set is back now.

Hey there! On my blog I talk about the quality and the pigments. www.josielewis.com/the-blog/watercolorset I don't have lightfastness information from the manufacturer, but my observation from using them for a few years is 2s & 3s out of 3 stars. I'd call them entry level but better than most student grade paints (based on my personal experience). I use these colors MORE than the Daniel Smith colors that I also love.

They are such bright pretty colors and have been a wonderful thing to have on hand this spring so calming to sit for an hour and do your templates I also purchased your book along with the whole watercolor kit and templates and brushes. Few things make me happier than watercolors on paper!

@@JosieLewisArt I also saw that I had left the color menu with color names in the cardboard cellophane envelope with the stickers! SO I have been painting for awhile just not knowing the colors and had made my own color chart...it is my chill paint set..I usually paint with M graham and DS is my add in colors set. But love trying out other color sets because paint is so so beautiful.

I believe she is just adding in water? keeping that front edge wet with the paint and then adding a little water to the paint in her brush? I like the effect of wetting the shape first with water and then adding color in at one end see how it moves on only the wet area and just using brush to add in more color..the paint should only go where wet.... cotton paper has better spread most of the time the wood pulp paper like canson does not spread the paint the same. You can see the blooms of water in the red and green, but honestly if you are doing it to relax it doesn't matter. I love to do this kind of thing to relax. I absolutely love seeing watercolor on paper.

I'm just adding water to fade out the colors.
