This is a wonderful video. Do you have another video that shows how to convert a more advanced file where you have different sections of stitching? For instance an outline of an animal and then how to fill in the eyes, and circles on the cheeks, plus whiskers, just something that shows how to add the different stitches. I would really appreciate knowing how to do that. I have all of the Stitch Artist modules.

The big thing about SVG files is that they come in as drawn objects. Now it is up to you to break up and/or adjust the objects so that they make sense to digitize. The various stitch types you choose is up to you. There are control videos on this playlist for each of the stitch types that explain how they work.

I’d love to see this but with a much more complex SVG image. I have level 2 now and I’m trying to digitize my own logo.

The point of an SVG file is that it comes in as drawn objects that you must adjust for digitizing. The controls videos explain all the settings you have access to in order to create the look that you want. Each digitizing project is different An SVG file brings in the objects that were drawn instead of you drawing with points or using the magic wand. This was SO helpful! I just imported an SVG letter and created/converted it as an applique. It works perfect. One question, the placement, tack down and final stitches are all set. However the zig zag that happens before the final satin is too much for the fabric. How do you eliminate the zig zag stitch that happens before the satin final stitch? Thank you!

I'm on Windows 11 PC. When I select the two nodes and right click I do not see "break across". I found this image online to practice with. Is it not appearing because I have to be specific about which nodes I choose? There seems to be different types of nodes. I must be missing something.

I did all the steps up to create, outline, and combine holes, and when I click combine holes it's not combining everything like it should. Is this a computer or software error or is it user error? I've followed this video to a T several times and this keeps happening.

Hi, I've noticed as you split this shapes, the curves need to be adjusted. Can you have an under layer(tracing reference) with the original line artwork so you know exactly how to fix the curve? Thank you.

You can bring in any reference that you want. Screen shot? Remember that the original curves and objects of an SVG are going to have to be adjusted for digitizing. The objects used to create a stitch file are not exactly the same as what you would have for vinyl or paper cutting.

Lisa, is this the only video you have out on converting an sgv file into an embroidery file? I have a customer that wants 13 care bear belly shirts. I can only find the care bear bellies in an sgv format. I have a brother scan and cut but haven’t been able to master it Any help would be greatly appreciated Linda Bowen Thank you!

The digitizing of the project is up to you! This video just shows that when you bring in an SVG the objects are drawn. Now it’s up to you to break them apart, adjust them and properly digitize the design in the style you want.

Hello i am wondering if you have a video that explains how to select certain objects inside of a fill stitch and being able to remove the stitches within the selected objects

Check your apple Mac settings. Could be two finger click or lower right click or something else. Only you know what you have set on your Mac!

I know I’m a complete failure, but mine doesn’t make a satin column using SA2. I can click any of the other icons in the Stitch section and it will fill in just fine, but the satin column... bupkus. What am I missing?
