It's not a custom emoji. It's mostly standard ones. I need to make my own picture as an emoji. How can I do that?

You cannot add your own images as emojis to the keyboard unfortunately.

I found that after you text it to someone (or yourself), you can download it as an image file from your text app and save it to your photo gallery.

Go to Gboard settings - dictionary - personal dictionary - all languages. Type in the symbol and choose a shortcut for it (for example "integral", or something shorter) then whenever you type out the shortcut the symbol would be in the suggestion
