How to Create GA4 Audiences: Creating and Using Google Analytics Audiences

Here's how you can create audiences in GA4. There are two places two do it: either in the audiences section within Admin OR by creating a segment in Explorations and checking a box to also create an audience.
We can use Audiences in analysis and advertising. Here's how to all that in this video.

Hey man - I REALLY appreciate your videos. They are well presented and I always understand the concepts after you explain it. I can't hear them very well though - with the volume all the way up. Maybe audio settings need a tweak. GREAT CONTENT!

brother you're doing a great job and the videos are very informative. Just one suggestion from my side is that you should improve the voice clarity in your video because it's hard to understand what you're saying even though I've raised all volumes to high. Your content is awesome and valuable. Must improve the voice factor.

how do you create an audience for visitors that have visited a specific product page on the website? Thank you

Hello there. Thanks for watching and for the thoughtful question. What I would do is first create an event to fire when your specific product page is viewed. You can do this either with the help of Google Tag Manager (create a GA4 event tag and a trigger when your product page is viewed) OR you can use the built in event creation tool in GA4 for this kind of simple page_view event. Here's a written guide to doing it that second way (no Tag Manager) that also includes an embedded video review: www.rootandbranchgroup.com/ga4-custom-events/ Once you've done that, you can create a segment audience based on the event conditions being satisfied and you mark that segment to be recorded as an audience. How do you create an audience for website visitors with session duration of 15 seconds?

Hi there. Thanks for watching and for your question. I don't have a resource for that specifically, but I found something online that I think might help. It would involve creating an event for the session duration target and then building an audience from there. Thanks for the video What percentage of Facebook / Tiktok / Pinterest traffic... Can we get in Google Ads audiences? Even though the audience is extremely close to reality on Google Analytics, the Google Ads audience does not feed at all accordingly...

Has it been your experience that your social traffic doesn't line up with what you're able to see when you try and create Audiences? That would be new info for me, but then again, there is a lot that I'm still learning about GA4. Also interesting to me that your Google Ads audiences don't seem to line up. If there's one source where you'd think Google Analytics should be prioritizing, it's Google Ads. Wish I could offer more assistance.

Hi, I had a question I'm your event I set up html5 video tracking And I got my data from the debug part of ga4 and i set custom dimension too but i just can see "no set" in my report or explore How can I solve this problem?

Hi there! (not set) is a placeholder that GA4 uses when it hasn't received info for a dimension. It's possible that perhaps you were seeing (not set) before the custom dimension was fully registered by GA4. Are you still seeing it now or has it resolved? Hi there, MuWarrior - this is a custom event and it wouldn't be there by default. Good news, though! You can create it and it's not too confusing to do so.
