I heard someone talking about using the volumetric plugin instead of doing the radial fast blur, it’s of course much slower but produced realistic light rays

Natasha, this is fantastic! Beautiful work! Any chance you may be able to narrate the next tutorial? (although, I do enjoy the BG music...) It's just, really easy to miss something you did, if you don't have someone giving you directions. None the less, excellent job!

It's a plug-in called FX CONSOLE from video copilot . Install this in After Effects. Shortcut key : CTRL + SPACE
